We all know the history when a team goes down 3-0 in a series. We MUST win this game in order to have a chance.

Fleury.... you must be huge tonight. Please.

Oooooooh boy. The series pretty much depends on tonight, so to speak. If we get any type of secondary (anyone but Sid at this point) scoring, we win.

Let's be honest right here and now. Shut down Ovechkin and you're 95% of the way to beating the Caps. It's not like we're playing the Wings here. No need to panic people

Is it really that wrong of me to want a 5-0 win?

I mean, I know I'm supposed to want all these games to be close affairs so the nhl gets their wish, but **** em.

Give me

Crosby (2)
Malkin
Gill

Ovechkin
Laich

4-2 victory!

I want a big win for pretty much the sole reason of getting in the head of the youngster in goal. He hasn't had a rough night and I would love to see how he responds if we can just torch him from every direction one night.

I think he's an idiot who has misplaced his passion for the game. He leaves his feet taking runs, uses an illegal stick, embarasses the sport with his celebrations, is incredibly selfish and has an incredible shot.

Even CBC, who have been choking his chicken for the past year even showed clips of how he does nothing when he doesn't have the puck. He just lazily floats until he gets the puck and then takes off. He doesn't backcheck, etc... Just... floats.

For me:
+
Tremendous talent, plays hard every shift, a fun player to watch who can create space for himself and is dynamic in the neutral zone

-
Showboating is embarrassing to himself and the game, I find him to be an average defensive player at best despite his high hit count, and I feel like he will have a short career if he continues to throw his body around in this manner.

That's a pretty solid analysis. I think most people would realistically fall into this group.

Aaight, aaight, I haven't read so much your boards this season.. so didn't have a clue. I thought maybe y'all saw him as a talented individual, even wanted him, hard. But I understand if y'all is hating his arrogant character etc. He has done some mistakes I agree. He has some mad skillz though, but so does some otha playaz and playattez y'all know what I'm talkin bout mane.

But yeah, interesting game beginning...... exciting times we live in mane. I hope y'all take this one....... I'm sure Crosby will be full of special energy tonight, that battle in game 2 was so great... it affects on tonight's game mane.

My job in life, is to only understand people and gangs all around mane.

So Talbot is on Geno's line I just heard from FSN... That's not bad.

I still think you can give Talbot to the 3rd line, Kunitz to the 2nd line, and Cooke to the first.

Cookie can't even bury one in an empty net. I don't think he has the skill to play with Crosby. It would be sickening to watch him muff perfect passes from Sid all game.

That'll be interesting. I don't mind it though cause honestly at least he will bring energy and fight hard along the boards and hopefully help that 2nd line possess the puck a little more in the offensive zone.

Word.

Just one request to the new GDT regulars: enough of the whining, crying and flaming. It's embarassing and it's been making the GDT's unreadable. You know who you are.

We've gotten numerous comments from longtime posters that are now avoiding our GDT's. Just have some decency and show a bit of maturity.

Also, from the Site Rules:

Quote:
Do not circumvent the obscenity filter by using characters such as ! or $. (Examples are *****, , **** ). Use ######## or ****** if you really think it's necessary to swear. A word's exclusion from the obscenity filter does not mean its usage is endorsed. If it's offensive, don't use it.
This isn't enforced much in GDT's but don't abuse it.

Let's go Pens.
