ice at bell centre

hi, i played at the bell centre yesterday and i have to say that the ice was terrible...

worst than an outside ice

i heard that they put twice the amount of water on it because there were several games played yesterday...I hope the ice is better than what i saw for the Habs games...

Shoot, I am going there tomorrow night to skate with my hockey team and get my 14 month old son on skates for the first time... Oh well, I'll still get a good picture of him sitting at center ice with his Habs jersey on

There were conspiracy theories at the start of the season that said that they make bad ice on purpose. Montreal plays a defensive system, and bad ice forces the opponents to keep their game simple...

Last season, the ice was really good though. Maybe All-Star's theory could be right? Because last year we had a reputation of having one of the best ices (if not THE best) in the league, so we certainly should know how to maintain a good ice surface.

I noticed that the Ice at the Bell centre looked bad last time I saw it too. I think I saw a rut that went right down to the floor beneath. Is that even possible?

I think Edmonton is still considered to have the absolute best in the league. They have that famous ice fellow there, the guy from the Olymoics.

I think they put too much water in the ice. Sure, it's less expensive, but ice diluted with water will always take more time to freeze.

uh?!?

Do you mean there's some stuff added to the water and you think there is less of it used at Bell Center?

'cause, well, 'too much water in that ice' sounds pretty strange to me...

It must be because I put too much water in my ice cubes.
