Who would you rather have..Markov or Lecavalier?

Are you willing to give up Markov for Lecavalier?

Some may call me crazy, but I would rather have Markov.

Where the hell would we be without him?

Markov our MVP is definitely more important to this teams success on ice then what Lecavalier would be. Seriously our number 1 pairing would become Hammer and Gorges. Worst number 1 in the whole league i would say..

Markov.

I already know that Markov is never in any media storyline (that I know of) because he is a very private person.. I know that there is no worries of the media being a problem for him. He's proven that he is REALY useful for us.. and if we had Vinny and no MArkov.. our D would be rather.. bleh.. Brisebois and Hamrlik as the first pairing!

Vincent, well there are so many question marks.. I believe he wont perform well here if we get him.. I just think there will be TOO MUCH pressure.. I would hate to be Vincent Lecavalier and coming to MTL.

Our record without Lecavalier is much, much, much better than our record without Markov

In fact, Markov's contract is a steal, while Lecavalier's one is a rip off.

For all the reasons stated above, Markov.

29 other teams would say Lecavalier, but they don't know how important he is to us: Andrei Markov

Plus his contract lets him renovate the Bell Center during offseasons

I didn't and will not vote as I don't believe that we can't get both at the same time.

Look at Lecavalier's impact with the Lightning without a #1 defenceman

Markov. Lecavalier is so ridiculously overrated on these boards it kind of makes me sick.

I get it, he had TWO good seasons. If you look at the rest of his career, including THIS season, he's been no better than Saku Koivu, if not worse, yet a mob of people still view him as some sort of saviour for this franchise.

/end rant.

I'm one of the few who'd take Lecavalier.

If I could I'd take both tho.

Markov

I think Lecavalier is way overrated in this town. Not overrated as a player but overrated in his impact in this club. Some people are talking like having Lecavalier will solve all problem and the cup is garanteed.

Andrei Markov 78gp 12g 52a 64p
V. Lecavalier 77gp 29g 38a 67p
Hard choice...
Vinny is not the same since his chirurgies imo.

I don't think he was playing 100% healthy this season. He needed wrist surgery, which was postponed the day he was to be operated due to his shoulder injury. At least that's what I remember reading.

Next season I'm expecting him to do better.

Still, I'd pick Markov over Lecavalier.

Markov = #1 defenseman, chose to play in Montreal, bargain.
Lecavalier = overpayed, and less important than Markov

I can't believe anyone would vote Lecavalier after watching us go winless the rest of the year as soon as Markov got hurt.

Defencemen are more valuable and Lecavalier is a notch below forwards like Crosby and Ovechkin who transcend that. Markov is a top ten d-man in the league, as is Lecavalier, so you have to go with Markov.

Didn't even have to deliberate more than a second. Markov without a doubt. Vinny is amazing, but Markov is a diamond in the rough, specially for our club that has been devoid of player of the year candidates. Dunno if he's still underrated, but Marky Mark is the dynamo of this team. I would happily welcome Lecavalier w/o losing Markov. Now that would be something.

With the contracts they have this is really a no brainer....Only a moron would want Lecavalier with that atrocious contract. If Lecavalier had the same contract as Markov then you could make a case for it.
