So I bought a car today. I feel like both celebrating and vomiting.

I got a 2010 Mazda 3 Sport GT Hatchback:

I'm pretty stoked about it...I've never owned a new car, much less a new car with all the options. Honestly though...what the hell have I signed myself up for. That's a lot of freaking cash.

This isn't Brigatine, but if you're in Sea Isle.... go to Mike's Seafood on the back bay docks. It's like one of the food channel shows. BYOB incidentally.

I would do this...how many points are you looking at, 2 probably? Call your insurance company and ask how much that's gonna cost you (if anything). Then ask them if you take a defensive driving class, if that would help. If you take that class (I think it's one day, but I don't know how much it costs) they'll take 1 point off, and the other will come off in a year or so. I think the insurance company will help you make that decision.

TBH, if it were me..I'd probably just get the points...but I don't know what your financial situation is...

Reading the Pens board is hilarious. One topic is complaining about Detroit obstructing Crosby and not letting him play.

Talk about perpetuating the stigma of being whiners that surrounds that franchise.

"I would like to see someone from Pittsburgh management speak up against this. This is not hockey."

My parent's beach house is there and unfortunately WaWa is like the key place to go for food...or just take the 5 minute trip into AC which has tons of places to go to. They are building a nice new bar right by the circle though and I can't wait for it to open.
Mickeys is definitely a decent spot to eat and/or drink. They have a more low key bar section and a nice dinner section. St Georges Pub in the shopping center is another good bar to eat. They have a bunch of Flyers stuff hanging up there too.

Harrahs Casino is right over the bridge there are alot of good restaurants in there as well. The Pool is also pretty cool. But it becomes a very trendy club at night.

I wasn't entirely sure, nice choice!

I'm on my 3rd car, all have been silver, all have been Acura's.

You just knew they were going to hire a french guy.

He's not a bad coach, but I don't think he fits the mold of the team. I don't see how his defensive ways are going to work with Kovalev, and his lack of defensive play. Should be interesting to say the least.

Shoe is on the other foot now and they dont like it.

I think the color is awesome...
The thing is, I'm avoiding the class at all costs. Me and my dad have an unspoken pact to not tell my mom these types of things cause I don't want to listen to her, and I don't want her to find out and have to explain why I'm taking a driving class haha. Like I said, I'll probably just take the points. I'm semi-comfortable with my financial situation. I'll be getting 2 points, but if I just plead guilty, do they normally come off after a year or is it longer if you don't take the class?

Yeah, they come off anyway, even without the class. I want to say one a year or so. I think the class would just wipe two points out right away.

If you pay your own insurance...take the hit...it's the easiest way for mom not to find out..LOL. How you going to explain a whole day going to NY for court?? LOL

I just read that the class does wipe out both points, so that is tempting. My dad does help me with my insurance since I'm paying school loans and whatnot, but I can handle the full load. He's only doing it to help me save some money, but I don't want him to pay more for my **** ups. As far as the court thing goes, they set the time for 1:00pm and it's a 3.5-4 hour ride. I figure leave normal time that I would for work, go to court, and just make up some random BS like I'm going out to dinner with some friends if I hit rush hour traffic and I'm not home by 5. Problem solved.

Couldn't you just tell her the same thing for the class? I think it's a one day thing...

For what it's worth, my insurance company was kind enough to inform my mom that it would take 3 years to work off the speeding ticket they found out about, which doesn't match up with the two point ticket at all. Still not sure if they actually applied it to my bill though.

I am definitely going to need to hit up the st. georges pub when I go next. Its within walking distance of the beach house so that means we can drink as much as we want then go home. I have been in the rod and reel once and was looked at like I was a yuppie and it creeped me out.

Harrah's has the seafood place, McCormicks, and a nice buffet. The pool is a neat place but the price of alcohol is ridiculous and they have cover charges when they have a celebrity come...25 bucks the other night when Kim "why am I famous again" Kardashian was there.
