Personally, I think this one is more appropriate to our needs. "Run you ker, Run! Tell all the other kers the law is coming. You tell I'm comin' and hell's comin' with me...." HEHE

That's the exact one I tried to find. Ha ha. Also I wanted to find: "kill 'em. Kill them all Ike"

But I thought watching 'curly bell' malkin pulling jonny 'sidney' ringo away was pretty good.

"You ain't no daisy' sidney. Just a little too high strung.

Wayne Gretzky has often told the story of just how difficult it is to win the Stanley Cup. In the early ’80s, his Edmonton Oilers had been the young studs of the the N.H.L., smashing scoring records and delighting fans. But when they reached the Stanley Cup final for the first time in 1983 against the three-time champion Islanders, they were schooled, literally, by New York, and swept in four games.

After the fourth loss, the downcast Gretzky and Kevin Lowe left their dressing room and had to walk past the Isles’ room to reach their bus. They expected to see a wild, raucous scene at the other end of the hallway but (as Gretzky related in his 1990 autobiography), “as we walked by, we didn’t see any of that. The girlfriends and the coaches and the staff people were living it up, but the players weren’t. Trottier was icing what looked like a painful knee. Potvin was getting stuff rubbed on his shoulder. Guys were limping around with black eyes and bloody mouths. It looked more like a morgue than a champion’s locker room. And here we were perfectly fine and healthy.

“That’s why they won and we lost. They took more punishment than we did. They dove into more boards, stuck their faces in front of more pucks, threw their bodies into more pileups. They sacrificed everything they had.

“And that’s when Kevin said something I’ll never forget. He said, ‘That’s how you win championships.’”

I wonder if Mike Green is hitting the bong pre-game again, hopefully he doesn't puff puff pass it to Semin today.

Not if the Pens are the Clantons and Ov is Wyatt Earp. I guess that would make Semin Doc Holliday.

Just remember Matt Cooke is Ike Clanton and what was said at the OK Corral.
Ike: "don't shoot, don't shoot. I ain't got no gun."
Earp: "Ike, get in the fight or get out of the way"

Clanton ends up trying to shoot them in the back. Typical.

Of course. I know how to spell "Lunger", but have never seen Ker/Cur in print.

Oh...one more classic Doc Holliday line from Tombstone for Stung projecting his condition by the middle of the 2nd period, "I have not yet begun to defile myself"

Just for the record...I expect the Caps to win tonight...and lose Wednesday. And I'm fine with that...or even a loss tonight.

It was all about making progress...and they did that this year. Might not be the result everyone hopes for...but overall...they won a series and made it a series with the defending Eastern Conference champs. Just some tweaking in the off season and go for it again next...and hopefully this time make the right moves when needed.

I'm at peace for this season.

Plus...I've about had enough of this goddamed beard.

Brooks Orpik is the "Pharroh" (or whatever) dealer

"Are you going to pull it or just sit there and bleed?"

Sidney is little ole 90210 guy. "I'm just a little nothing but if I wasn't..." after the ok coral shootings. Or after Billy Zane (the actor) was shot in reference to the Gonchar injury "he's was so beautfil"

Bruce on Green....

Quote:
"He [was] leading the league in defenseman scoring [before last night]," Boudreau said. "I mean, we can complain and b*tch about him all we want and expect more from him. He’s trying his rear end off. He’s not looking as pretty as he did in the regular season, but he’s got nine points in 12 games. … Our expectations must be so high that it is unreachable."
I concur.

Edit: Kinda. I still think he's injured...and shouldn't be playing as much as he is...but he's trying.

My alltime favorite Doc Holliday line comes from the movie "Wyatt Earp" starring Kevin Costner. It is "You can all kiss my rebel ****". Sure Val Kilmer was a better Holliday, but Dennis Quaid did ok and that line gets me everytime.

As for the game tonight, the boys need to dictate action not recieve. I am also at piece with this season. The Pens are just a better team right now. And I didn't grow a beard, but I did promise my Wife I would quit chewing tobacco once the playoffs were over for the Caps. I'm ready to quit.

I think Greener has been about average. Racking up points with a few defensive faux paus (like the rest of our dmen). He has thrown some monster hits but is targeted by opposing teams as our ONLY dman that they have to account for. But the playoffs is where offensive defensemen have to adjust more then their defensive counterparts so its not easy by any stretch. We havent gotten a lot of power plays but still have a respectable PP rate so Green is doing his part. He has slipped to a -2 rating though.

Poti and Juice seem to be our best pairing and their both sitting at +6. I would like to see that pairing man the points on PP2.

Per Corey, "Donald Brashear is on the ice with the Caps for their morning skate, which is just getting under way."

Come on Bruce do it. Force the pens to rethink their lineup. We need to bring the fight to them literally and figuratively. We are getting dominated in almost every aspect of the game even in the games we won. Start crap after the whistle, give a little shove. See if someone punches you and gets us a PP. Dont just lolly gag around trying to not get hurt. We could use a sam kinison type.

I had sort of been wondering the same. He is being out scored by Lidstrom. I mean....thats all. Last time i looked. Just Lidstrom.

This leads me back to a place Ive been since Green was due a new contract. The reaction to his play on these boards really makes me wonder if the whooping him out of town like larry murphy isnt coming

Still hoping for that one game where everything comes together for the Caps. Saturday's loss was such a heartbreaking loss. I can't take another one like that.
