That's an easy one. Boyd and Boucher are only freshmen in high school. They'll have to play somewhere for a year between the NTDP and college, ala Danny Kristo.

That makes sense, and smart too. Isn't it three years rights by selected team in futures draft.

Yep, three years.

It looks like Youngstown (formerly Mahoning Valley) burned a late round draft pick on Brandon Saad, and an even later round draft pick on his brother George. If Brandon was going to play in the USHL at all next season, it would be with his brother at Youngstown. Odds are still excellent that he's in the OHL next year.
