I personally would love this to be decided by 1 or 2 goals. Why?

This series is already voted the best series of ALL TIME according to NHL.com. Statistically, if the margin of victory tonight is 1 or 2 goals, it is also statistically the absolute closest series in NHL history.

I know what you mean. With the other two series going to game 7 it just makes me feel like between the final 4 that it's w-i-d-e open! Like there's an even 25% chance for all 4 teams.

If the Pens aren't up for this game they'll never be up. Its game 7 and I don't think anything needs to be said in that locker room.

Win each period boys.

Yes, I feel that way also. Whom ever moves on with Chicago out of the final six has a great chance at the prize.

Yeah, by a fan poll. This has been a good series, but to claim it's the best ever is laughable.

Why is it laughable?
  • 5 of 6 games won by a single goal
  • 3 overtimes
  • Two series lead changes
  • Numerous game lead changes
  • First goals being meaningless!
  • The Ovechkin/Crosby double-hattrick game!
  • And just plain exciting hockey!!!

Besides overtime in game 7, what could make this series more epic? Name me a better series while you're at it!

I agree, the only thing this series is missing is a line brawl, but as a pens fan I have not enjoyed this series as much as others.

Oh of course, for me the most enjoyable series would be watching our boys roll out 4 straight shutouts!

I don't know if I can handle another overtime game (really I have a heart condition). Last game made me chuck my remote out of my living room window 2 floors up. I think the Pens need to avoid a wide open game that favors the Caps. Just play sound defense, block shots, and counter when oppertunities present themselves. The Caps will try and force the tempo early on. Know what I mean

I wish we could get this game on Toronto radio so I could hear it at work. I'm going to be absolutely useless between 7 and half past 9 tonight.

The only one that comes close is Detroit vs. Colorado (2002). The Aves were up 3-2 at one point but lost. So much animosity and so close until game 7 where the Red Wings blew out Patty Roy with a 6-0 win.

Colorado-Detroit '02 WCF, by far. This series doesn't have anywhere near the intensity that one did.

I suppose if I were a Ducks fan that would get me pumped up. Seriously though, Emilio Estevez gets you pumped up?

I'm nervous as hell.

I think I'm going to get wasted on White Russians tonight.

I hope the Pens waste some white Russians tonight. (Ovechkin and Semin)

We all know Sid will show up with a great game. I predict Geno will do something equivalent to this:

It's win or go home and someone has to be willing to step up and win this game. Our captain will show up ready to play tonight tonight, if the rest of the team follows his lead we will be back in the conference finals...

LET'S GO PENS!!

Let's make this game seven for the Caps like the Larry the Scary Rex ride was for Clifford. It's their dream to knock us out of the playoffs tonight. Let's turn that dream into a nightmare.
