Boston has all the momentum and are at home. We will have to weather the storm and we'll need Cam to be a big part of that. We cannot go down early. Once Boston gets a lead they will instill the trap that Julien accused Maurice of doing, which he wasn't anyway.
No matter what happens, I'll be proud of these guys, but I'm not ready for this ride to end.
Is it me or does the feeling in the air seem like it was at the beginning of the series when Carolina was predicted for doom even before the puck dropped?
I hope that false sense of security will enable us to win this game. I don't think it's going to happen, but nevertheless trying to rationalize a victory for this one is pretty difficult. Expect the worst, hope for the best.
I feel good about this move. Hopefully the more calming presence in Kaberle compared to Babchuk will help, even just a bit.
Damn, Damn Damn. I don't like this. One of the key determinants in these games has been who forechecks better, and puck moving D-men are key to combatting the forecheck. Kaberle is much better in that regard than Bab, great move by the Canes, IMO, but not good for a B's fan.
Good luck tonight guys (well not TOO much luck) but enjoy the game, should be a doozy.
I hope this game is clean and injury free, no matter who wins. I'd want the team that wins this to beat the Pens. So hard hitting, but not broken bones.
I can remember what it's like to be up 3-1 and lose the series. I recall it took me about 4 years to stop feeling that hurt. But in this case it's nothing like what happened to us. Nobody gave you guys a chance in this series, and you took it 7, and you could very well take it all. So I don't see any possible bad outcome here, only amazing, and slightly less amazing.
"Carolina has outplayed Boston for the better part of every game in this series, even if they didn't get the win at the end of the night," says Laviolette. "Their game seems to be a little more dominant than Boston's. But the prevailing factor that leads me to think that Carolina might be successful in Boston is that they are Game 7 ready. They are 3-0 in Game 7s. They are capable of going out and playing a big game on the road. They've done it before. They did it against New Jersey in the first round."
