When we have 7 teams in Canada

Ok so itís pretty safe to say that Canada will have another team in 10 years from now if not earlier. Though the million dollar question is how will it happen? Expansion or relocation?

Unless there are teams in danger of folding, Canada won't be getting any expansion teams, nor will any city in the continent, at least I hope.

30 teams is more than enough.

Relocation, on the other hand, is more than likely.

I hope it's relocation. The last thing this league needs is expansion.

I'm the lone voter for it. Whoops.

I think you have a typo in the title.

'When we have 5 teams in Canada' it'll be because of relocation.

I think a lot depends on the economy and that's hard to predict at the best of times. If there are a lot of struggling franchises over a long period of time, it's not hard to see the league re-trenching into safer markets.

I think the safe answer is relocation, the million dollar hypothetical question is will Canada ever get a team in the next 10 years, and I can't give a concrete 'yes' as my answer.

I fail to see how it's safe to say there will be 7 teams in Canada.

I wouldn't be surprised if in 10 years, there were new Canada teams for both reasons.
