I was just watching Los Alamitos on TVG, they were at break, but came back and were talking about it. How close is that?

Felt it in Costa Mesa also quite a bit. Can't wait for San Andreas lol

Edit - Kings and Ducks fans uniting in a thread, how awesome.

4.7-5.0 Lennox, CA

Firm but not strong. Can't believe my friends updated their facebook status over an earthquake claiming it was 'omg!!!! EARTHQUAKE!!'

And the obligatory family member from outside CA who will call because they're worried we're in the ocean now.

For once I was out of town when one of these happened.

Hope everyone got through it unscathed.

I'm about 20 mins south of where it happened. I had some pictures fall off the bookcase, stuff like that. I just hopped out of the shower and was in my underwear when I ran out of the door. Then I realized, I'm outside in my underwear.

That was a good one. I was in the shower. Always wanted to experience an earthquake in the shower.

It's amusing that people from other parts of the country think a 5.0 is devastating. I'm pretty sure it comes from the fact that they see quakes near 6 wreak havoc in less-developed countries or those that don't have the same building codes we do. I try to explain that a 5 can be alarming if you are right on top of it, but otherwise is pretty mild.

Next call I get, I'm going to tell them that the Kings-Ducks rivalry will probably get a lot more heated now that the Staples Center side-slipped south and is now only 3 miles from the Pond.

We must have played after you. I was on the ice at Paramount, which apparently can no longer afford air conditioning, when the quake hit. It just sounded like a train was about to enter the rink and the roof was vibrating. When the ice is melting, it's 70 degrees inside, you're shorthanded, playing your second game of the day after losing in the championships in Riverside at noon and an earthquake hits you know it's not your day. I need some Calgon.
