Joyce mentioned before that Schroeder had a fairly controversial answer to the 'Who would you have dinner with' question- Sean Avery. I'm wondering if that's what's what the scouts define as a 'bad interview'. I have a theory the Stars won't take him because of it, setting him up to drop to us.
Don't wonder. It's not. There was a lot more to his bad interview than some questionaire he filled out for Central Scouting.
Then give us something else to go on. Whatever he said must not only have been 'bad', but catastrophic, for him to drop to 22.
Asked what his weaknesses were, he said he didn't have any. Said he couldn't really think of anything he needed to work on. Straight-faced.
Asked who was going to be on his line at UMinn next season, he said that he had already told the coach who he'd play with.
He was critical of team-mates and coaches and blamed the U.S.'s failure to win at the under-20s on everyone else except himself.
Those are just a few examples. I could go on but won't. If you don't get the idea, then you never will.

Wow! No wonder the guy dropped like a rock. Sounds like a real head case, ala Avery.
Not sure I didn't here that. Wouldn't surprise me now that we know more details though.
Found it.

In one of his meetings with a GM, the 18-year-old said he was asked who he would most like to go out to dinner with - Barack Obama, Maria Sharapova or Sean Avery. "I would have liked to have picked Sharapova but I went with Avery,” Schroeder said with a smile
Err, it's quite prickish to say that when that's the FIRST TIME any of that information has come out. I DO get it now, thanks.
Not me rolling my eyes. That's sort of "prickish." I made my point and you wanted me to expand on it. That would have been fine. But no, you have to insinuate that I have nothing to back it up. Not how I do my business.
You know, if I had to pick two people on this entire board who would get along it would be Gare Joyce and Mr. Bugg. Here's hoping this ends soon. Thanks for the info, Mr. Joyce and thanks for all the help and insight Mr. Bugg.

Hey Gare, just wondering if you were in the room for the interview, or if you heard this from someone who was in the room?
Not that i'm necessarily doubting he said anything like that, I'm just wondering if that's straight from your experience or if someone, who isn't a fan of Schroeder's confidence, might have editorialized a little bit while passing the story on to you?

From two who were in the room. A guy from another organization said it went just like that in his team's session with him.
