For me as well. Chicago just doesn't seemed seasoned enough with all the young guys they have though to pull it out.

Detroit.

Because they're the best.

Love to see McPhee bring in players who buy into a team-oriented, two-way system.

What would happen is, if they get the Pens their Cup this year, then the league (Betty & Friends) would have the incentive to see that they become the old Oliers/Islanders and rip off numerous Cups in a row. (insert puking smilie here)

Hurricanes and Blackhawks.

If it ends up being a repeat of last year then I'll have to root for the Wings again. Ugh.

Carolina. I can't stand Pitt or Detroit.. and I don't see Chicago having a chance.

I really thought the winner of Anaheim - Detroit was winning the cup.

Absolutely. Even at even-strength they usually have a player or two trying to create havoc in front. That and excellent point shots are dynamite come playoff time.

Their finesse gets focused on a lot but they are excellent at funneling shots to the net and creating traffic.

Now that the Penguins are in the finals... GO RED WINGS. Best chance of beating them.

But don't you want Pittsburgh to win the Cup so that you can say "We nearly beat the Stanley Cup Champions, that's how close we were to a Stanley Cup" otherwise it's like "We took the Penguins to seven games but if they couldn't beat the Red Wings, we probably couldn't either"?

I would probably root for any other team who did this from the East other than the Pens or the Flyers. Too much history there. You seem like a quality poster though so dont take this as a personal affront, but I would root against the Pens if they were playing against a team assembled by Kim Jung-Il.

Nope. Much better to say that we were an OT win away from winning the Eastern Conference Finals...(which were really 2 weeks ago)

It would take an act of God for me to ever root for the Penguins to win anything. The only thing that I want to say after the Cup finals is "Pittsburgh Bills".

Yeah, my attitude doesn't always follow that logic either. If it were Washington vs. Detroit, boy, I don't know... I guess I would be cheering for Washington actually because Sergei Fedorov was my favourite player growing up. Man, I'm sad that he's not going to be back next year.

Well it's quite obvious that Ovechkin has been grossly under-exposed
