I think you're right, it is a stretch. Of course, he isn't fully developed yet so I guess it could happen if he get a promotion off the fourth line. Wouldn't that be a nice surprise to find another 20+ goal scorer on the team.

Indeed. I've heard Babcock saying he doesn't want him to be a 4th line player, so I'm assuming he'll be a regular 3rd, no?

Also, for those saying he'll replace Drapes, I think there will be some moving around, as Maltby will lose his spot/retire first. Of course, there's the whole position ordeal, so this statement may actually void itself...

If Babcock keeps Datsyuk and Zetterberg split up, you'd assume Filppula is your 3rd center. I can't see how Helm cracks into the top 3 lines there.

There is a difference between playing on one of the top 3 lines, and playing top 9 minutes. Lines are constantly changing. Helm will see time next year on the third line and fourth line. But, he will be in the top 9 for ice time next year. I can almost guarantee that.

Might not have to juggle much if we lose enough talant up front. Flip's been a top6 wing before, wouldn't be surprised to see him moved back to that spot

Great work, Darren. They call him "Taz" at A2Y. Let him know that Ti-Girl.
Its been real, but Holland needs to grow a pair and let go of our entire Quote "4th line" of Kopecky, Draper and Maltby.

Id much rather see a 4th line of Helm, Abby and Leino or anyone else rather then any one of them 3 again. Kopecky has size and hits, but we've seen what his upside is, its not going to get any bigger then this fellas. Lets call it a day and move on.

Great plan. Way to spend an extra 300-500k and somehow manage to lose depth.

Should we even mention what round we got this kid in? I think I can hear the 29 other GM's and coaches slowly weeping.

Or this:

Its great to see a Former Medicine hat Tiger kickin butt. I still think people underestimate Helm's potential

That PK shift brings back memories of him as A Tiger!

He was drafted as a two-way forward with some scoring upside which is what we're seeing now. I like what I see now, but I'll be the last to complain if he does a Franzen.
