No. But will a little bit of research though there's one link missing, I may have found out who he is. Can't say here though, don't want to get into trouble.

Jordan Schroeder with 17 reps on the benchpress. Pretty impressive.

He could be ready for the NHL next year with that type of physical fitness.

Yeah but he vomited after the VO2....he'll fall to our pick...

He's lucky he just vomited, I did that once when I was younger and more fit and I thought I was going to die....

Good ****ing Lord, I hope so.

That kid is going to be special. He's already dominating in the NCAA, if we could draft him (fingers crossed), we could already sign him to go to the AHL or make the team.

At 17 on the bench, he's already got NHL upper body strength (for a guy his age) and he could get acclimated to the NHL schedule in Hamilton.

Man, I was really high on the kid since last year, but that is ****ing impressive and it shows he's dedicated to playing at a high level.

Totally agree. As far as I'm concerned, and because it's my own definition of it, he falls into the BPA category. I want my team to become bigger and tougher. That's already known. But at 18th, it won't happen just a fantasy, Schroeder obviously become the BPA by a wide margin and I don't even think about it and grab him. I'll become bigger with my other picks.

I have seen him a couple of times this year and he blew me away each time.

The guy's a top 10 talent, no doubt about it.

I don't get how some people find a way to put him outside of it. Probably size-obsessed...

IMO, if the guy can put up over a PPG in the NCAA at 17, he's definately not going to have problem adjusting to the pro game with his size.

EDIT : The 'ripped' Kyle Palmieri only did 17 reps. Schroeder is man-child.

Well he might drop a little bit, but he'll be gone by the 12th overall pick...

Don't know if this has been posted, but Zach Budish is blogging about his combine experience.

http://www.kare11.com/news/news_arti...storyid=743162

Edit: A blog that I read finally got updated for the 2009 draft and I found that the scouting report on Carter Ashton almost 100% echos my thoughts on him. I rewatched watched games 1 and 2 of the Lethbridge/Saskatoon series recently and so his game is fresh in my mind. Not the prettiest stride, but still a good skater. Needs a playmaker on his line, but dominates along the boards and down low. Also asks the question I've been asking all year: "why isn't there more buzz around this guy???"

That said, I'm now very curious about his true height. He's being listed at 6'2.5 but I kept hearing all year he was over 6'4. 6'2.5 would explain him being listed at 6'3 around a few places, but he looks so tall out there on the ice that I have to think he's closer to the 6'4".75 which was being reported all year.

http://nhldraftnotes.blogspot.com/20...ridge-whl.html

Edit #2: Finally some love for Mitchell Callahan!!! Remmerde has him as the no.25 player available in the WHL (and western Jr. A leagues) this year and ahead of Garrett Mitchell. No scouting reports on these guys yet though.

Also noticed he's got Marc Isherwood in the top 50. Another guy I'm really high on. If he gets passed over I really hope he gets an invite.

He's got Bowman way higher than I'd have him though. Can't see him being the no.7 dman in the WHL ahead of Yadlowski, Ulmer and Melnychuk. For me he's in that 3rd tier with guys like Dillon.

Overall though these types of things tend to reassure me that I'm not completely crazy when I watch games and come away with conclusions no one else really has.

Tavares, Schenn and Ferraro all skipped out on the upper body tests.

It shouldn't hurt Tavares and Schenn, but it certainly can't help a guy like Ferraro.

Saw him twice during the U18 and I was not impressed. Not involved enough, and no hands to be a successful pro player.

BTW, browse the sticky draft thread, there's a lot of talks on him.

Hey if Tobias Enstrom can make a big impact, then there is no reason to believe that Vatanen can't.

As for Schroeder, I always thought he would be a great pick-up for anyone that took a chance. I was by far more impressed by his abilities than USA teammate JVR.

Some say that the combine might not have the greatest effect. Well, I think that it's solidifies Schroeder's place amongst the top 10. I might also bring Palmieri back in the 1st round. Might not have a whole lot of effect on the others though while nobody dissapointed that much while nobody stood out as well.

I have the feeling that most teams are seriously concerned by Leblanc's lack of competition and possiblie development due to his choice of Harvard for the next 2 or 3 years in the ECAC.

The greatest news about that is that the NHL Network loves to show games from that division so if we end up picking Leblanc, we should see him more than other prospects.

I'm guessing he didn't stand up in any categories since there's no mention of him whatsoever. This draft is so deep it's scary.

Little Tidbit I found on Vincour. I wonder if he'll still be available in the mid 3rd or 4th round.

Here's a little mock draft I put together today. I'm too lazy today to write comments beside them but I might tomorrow. Let me know what you think. If you disagree with many picks, let me know but don't be a ***** about it

1. NYI - John Tavares
2. TB - Victor Hedman
3. COL - Matt Duchene
4. ATL - Evander Kane
5. LA - Brayden Schenn
6. PHX - Jared Cowen
7. TOR - Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson
8. DAL - Jordan Schroeder
9. OTT - Oliver Ekman-Larsson
10. EDM - Scott Glennie
11. NSH - Nazem Kadri
12. MIN - Dmitri Kulikov
13. BUF - Ryan Ellis
14. FLA - Simon Despres
15. ANA - David Rundblad
16. CBJ - Jacob Josefson
17. STL - Drew Shore
18. MTL - Peter Holland
19. NYR - Chris Kreider
20. CGY - Louis Leblanc
21. PHI - Zack Kassian
22. VAN - Calvin de Haan
23. NJ - John Moore
24. WSH - Kyle Palmieri
25. BOS - Nick Leddy
26. NYI - Matthew Hackett
27. CAR - Carter Ashton
28. CHI - Olivier Roy
29. PIT - Tim Erixon
30. DET - Carl Klingberg

What a deep draft. Just imagine things went that way. The following players would fall to round 2: Jeremy Morin, Stefan Elliott, Landon Ferraro, Jordan Caron, Ethan Werek, Dylan Olsen, Zach Budish, Toni Rajala etc
