Vancouver Re-signs Rick Rypien

No financials, two-year deal. Per TSN

Quote:
The Vancouver Canucks have signed forward Rick Rypien to a two-year contract extension with the club through the 2010-11 NHL season. Rypien has played five seasons with the Canucks.
Unless they gave him something unbelievably high, this is a good signing for the Canucks. Tough guy goes all-out every night, provided his personal problems are past him.

Brandon Prust is not happy about this signing.

Big Ripper fan...money should minimal due to his injury problems.

Welcome back Ripper....as long as he stays fairly healthy this will turn out to be a good signing

He is a beast when it comes to fights and hits, also has some offensive upside (10 goals)

Nuts, wanted to see him in Buffalo although I'm glad he didn't end up east.

He would compete for least played games with Connolly.
