I think Jack Skille will be a good NHL top 6 forward but he will never get the chance due to the Hawks depth at Wingers both in NHL and system.
How about some of these ideas

Outside of Eberle the RW prospect depth of the Oilers is nonexistant. Skille improved his play last year in Rockford and could be a good fit for the Oilers with his speed and sze. He is buried behind wingers here in Chicago both on big club and in system.
Hawks need to replenish there defensive prospect core and Chorney and Motin although not as highly rated as Skille are both nice prospects.

Skille would add size and speed to Maple Leafs. Stefanovich gives Hawks a good prospect to watch over next 3-4 yrs.

Skille would definelty have a great chance of playing for Isles and could be a major impact player. Ness is a good longerm asset for Hawks and Toews is also very talented who given several years of development could be a good NHL player.

Similar situation as Oilers but the Sabres lack RW prospect depth and Brennan and Persson fit as players who are several years away but can replenish our d depth in system.
The last thing the Oilers need is potential 2nd line players. We have piles of them. We need a 1st line C/LW. Or a 3rd Line Gritty Center. Or a decent goaltender.

I don't like the Oilers deal, we have to get rid of forwards. not take more on.
I like Skille, I think he would be good on a line with Gagner, but not at the cost of our best PMD Prospect, and one of 2 physical defensemen in the system.

I would love to see the Leafs grab Skille, but not at the cost of Stefanovich. His 49 goals put him 3rd in the Q this season and, at 19 years of age, he's got a ton of potential.
What about something involving Stajan? Toronto already has Grabovski, Mitchell, and Bozak down the middle, so Stajan has become somewhat expendable. He would also be a perfect fit as a 3rd line centerman... replacing the loss of Pahlsson.

I agree with this post.
The Leafs need big, strong, and skilled right wingers in the organization. This may be the right time to trade Stajan (who is, as you say, a perfect fit) to replace Pahlsson. Stajan is still young at the age of 25 and would fit in with the 'Hawks' youth movement and desire to win now.

Maybe. I think it would depend on Sopel's cap-hit and remaining contract term, for the most part, as well as his age and on-ice effectiveness. The Leafs are somewhat D-man heavy, at the moment, and Burke is looking for prospects/picks right now to help re-build the team.
But hey... anything's possible, right?
EDIT: After having just looked at Sopel's bio a few minutes ago, I don't think the Leafs would want him. He seems quite injury-prone. Maybe the 'Hawks would consider moving G Corey Crawford or one of the other 2 young goalies they have. The Leafs could certainly use one of them.

Isles don't want any part of Skille IMO. Isles fans like Ness and I like the idea of having "the other Toews".
I would think the Isles would have some interest in Skille. Maybe not a ton, but at the right price, he's got good upside and his skillset seems like it would complement Bailey well.

So we should add to Stajan for Skille? Skille who is 4 years younger and has accumulated a massive 6 NHL points? Pretty sure the Leafs will pass on that seeing as Stajan put up 55 points this year.
I think you're overvaluing Skille a little here. Stajan has proven he can put up 35+ pts atleast if given second line minutes or better. He is 25, and signed to a great contract. Skille on the other hand, has only played 24 games, and only shown potential to be a top 6 winger. Stajan this year is what Skille is projected to be. Therefore, no, the Leafs would not have to add to that trade, PHX would.
