question

hey kings fans, how does LA usually fill out their line-up? How often do Brown, Kopitar, and Frolov play together?

thanks.

Kopitar and Brown played on the same line for pretty much the entire first half of the season. Kopitar and Frolov played on the same line pretty much the entire second half of the season. Kopitar and Brown had great chemistry throughout Kopitar's rookie year and 07/08, but once teams started to specifically target them they had trouble. Kopitar and Frolov compliment each other very well even against team's top lines. Our Frolov-Kopitar-Williams line was really fantastic over the last three or four games of the season once Williams got his legs under him.

Unless Frolov is dealt or Lombardi brings in a Heatley or Gaborik, that will be our top line at the beginning of the season. Brown is much more comfortable in a second line role where he can focus on forechecking and creating room for his linemates. When he was relied upon to score consistently he wasn't that great. However, neither was anyone on the Kings in that category last year.

Danke. Have they experimented with Frolov, Kopitar and Brown all on one line? Also, how does Moller fit in next year?

With a more offensive coach, this team would've made the playoffs last year..
Two years ago, our top line was O'Sullivan - Kopitar - Brown.. TM played them ONCE together last year and they did nothing, so of course he decided to switch O'Sullivan back to the third line..

Frolov - Kopitar - Brown was a rare line to see from what I remember.. I almost never remember seeing Frolov and Brown on the same line..

one of the problems was....
doesn't matter who do you put on the left wing, the other one had Calder in the lineup.
Calder is a solid 3rd line player but where faced with the same problem Armstrong was before.
He was playing top line minutes + PP minutes.
Surprisingly nothing happens except weakens up the 2nd or 1st line.

I'm really interested how the Coach wanna change it.
I don't think Calder gets a new contract, neither Armstrong.

That leaves a gap at 2nd line Center and 2nd line Left wing.
That was one of the reasons why i said put Purcell on the 1st line and Frolov to the 2nd
