Not sure if it's ok by hfboards standards to post stuff about tickets but I figured I'd give it a try. If it's not cool, I apologize in advance.
I'm a Pens season ticket holder looking for Wings season ticket holder to make a ticket trade so that we both might enjoy road trips to each other's cities for this great series. I have 2 tickets to the Thursday, June 4 game in Pittsburgh (Game 4, Sec D26, Row E, Wings will shoot twice there, solid seats). I am seeking at least 2 tickets to the Saturday, June 6 game in Detroit (Game 5).
I went to game 2 in Detroit last year and absolutely loved your city, your arena, the Wings fans' passion for hockey, and Detroit Coney Hot Dogs!!! I want to do it again! (see my avatar)
If you want to enjoy Game 4 in the fine city of Pittsburgh and are willing to part with Game 5 in Detroit, let me know. Oh, and it doesn't have to be a straight-up trade obviously. Money can also be involved.
Anyways, thanks again for letting me post here. Enjoy what I suspect will be one heck of a hockey series.
A couple of friends and I ended up going for Game 1 - managed to find some great seats at face value. We were cheering Helm non-stop.
Saw a couple of funny signs at the arena. Only bad call was staying at a motel down the road from the arena .... Wow, that side of town is a bit messed up. Got a cab that drove us around the city and took us to a gas station at a crappy part of the city to get pop after hitting up a few bars close to the rink and my friend ended up being hassled by a few people "chilling" at the gas station. Also, the same friend was hassled outside the Greektown casino by a guy who wanted $5 or $10 for telling us where we could find cabs.
Guy I talked to on the people mover, got half of face value for an extra ticket just before game time. Bargins are there if you are patient.
Thank you so much. I wouldn't have went if you didn't post this. I ended up going with brother and got 2 tickets face value $230 each for $50 each! Then up to suite.
The trick is just wait until the last minute because the guys have to unload the tickets.
