List of NHL Players Signed Overseas for 09/10 (Added: Steve Regier)

Since the Prospect Signing List seems to have worked out well, I wonder if there is enough demand for a similar list, listing players who played in the NHL, or were under contract for this past season who have signed overseas for 2009-2010.

Thus far, I have. Feel free to suggest missed players, or correct my spelling.

ANA: Petri Kontiola C (Magnitogorsk, Russia)
BUF: Mikael Tellqvist G (Ak Bars Kazan, Russia), Marek Zagrapan C (Severstal Cherepovets, Russia), Tyler Bouck (ERC Ingolstadt, Germany), Colin Murphy LW (Augsburger, Germany)
CAR: Jakub Petruzalek C (Lukko, Finland)
COL: Per Ledin LW (HV71 Jönköping, Sweden ), Daniel Tjarnqvist D (Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, Russia), Darcy Campbell D (TPS Turku),
FLO: Richard Zednik LW (Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, Russia)
NJ: Niclas Havelid D (Linköpings, Sweden), Petr Vrana (HC Kitkovice)
NYI: Kurtis McLean C (Lukko Rauma, Finland), Tomas Pock D (Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, Switzerland)
PHI: Patrik Hersley D (Malmo)
PHO: Alexander Nikulin C (CSKA Moscow, Russia)
STL: Jonathan Filewich RW (EC Salzburg ), Steve Regier (EC Salzburg),
TAM: Radek Smolenak RW (Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk, Russia)
WAS: Viktor Kozlov (Salavat, Russia)

Jonathan Filewich (F)

Didn't know about that one, surprised Pock didn't stick around for another shot at the NHL.

I thought that thread was more about arguing over whether or not it's the KHL or NHL who is evil. Had no idea there was actual content in the thread. Still, I think this is just an easier catch-all.

Fedorov hasn't made a choice yet, at this point it sounds like he's received an offer and is waiting for the Capitals to offer him something.

Zagrapan is a bust anyway. This guy knows how good he is and he knows he's not good enough for the big bucks of the NHL so he signed for the second best.

Yes I've heard that too. But he was no longer signed to an NHL contract. I believe he was on a ECHL contract this season.

He was signed on a contract in Bakersfield. Apparently they didn't want him back.

Kontiola is a real good young player. . hes was buried behind Toews and Bolland though. . especially if they resign Pahlsson. . so he bolted. .

If they're RFA when they sign, then they remain their NHL team's property.

In Anaheim, though, you would think he would've given it one more training camp, there's more room on the Ducks.

Also, added Alexander Nikulin to the list. Signed with CSKA Moscow

Until a certain age, then they become UFA though right?

Not a surprise, he's *****ed and moaned about playing in the AHL the last 2 seasons with Ottawa, then got traded to Phoenix played 1 game and remained in the AHL. good riddance....

don't get your hate towards the guy, he gave his best shot, never made and went back to play with two guys (Parshin, Shirokov) who together played their best hockey in CSKA

After the temper-tantrum he threw last fall, I'm not the least bit surprised.
