TEAM 1260 Thursday (UofA LIVE)

The U of A Golden Bears are in New Brunswick for the CIS championship tournament and you can catch all the action live on the TEAM 1260. Bob Stauffer is in NB doing the play-by-play as the Golden Bears try to win their record 11th National tournament. The Bears are undefeated this season and have been the best team in the country by far for the past 4 or 5 years but haven't been able to get it done at the end. Is this their year? I believe game time is like 3:30 Edmonton time... check it out.

Go Bears! I really hope the team can put it together this year after the mess they had the last two.

Bob Stauffer does an awesome job with this team, and everyone should check out the games this weekend.

I'll be tuning in. I got to about 8 games this year at the Drake and this team is unbelievable. Great hockey to watch if anyone is interested for next year. Anyway - go Bears!

Wow.. I thought Rod Phillips got excited when the Oil score. Stauffer scared me a bit when that first Bears goal went in.

Pretty solid win by the sounds of things. One more big game before the real fun begins.

That's his job, isn't it? He's still the U of A Athletics SID isn't he?

Yeah Stauffer is still the U of A SID, I work with him. Bears second game, vs. UNB Varsity Reds, goes Saturday afternoon, 2:00 PM MST, live on TSN and The TEAM 1260. Ryan Wade is gonna be named tournament MVP. Watch Perry Johnson on the Bears blue line, he's so smooth out there and quietly efficient. You don't notice him until you see the game stats and he has two or three helpers.

www.bears.ualberta.ca for all the info.
