Hey guys I have a question. I only really started watching hockey last year around or a bit before the playoffs so when I see people talking about most past Flyers players all I can go by is what I've read here, or elsewhere, youtube clips, and stats. Someone stated this in the "Three Stars for the most overated NHL Players" thread

I responded by saying:
Going just by stats here Lindros had 57 points in 50 career playoff games that's an avg. of 1.14 per game. Neely had 89 points in 93 playoff games which equals an average of .956 points per game so in that sense they are pretty close. Granted I know that there is a lot more to the game than statistics and that statistics don't neccesarilly show how a person played but I think they should count for something.
You may be right, however as I have only been watching hockey for a limited amount of time and wasn't watching hockey except for going to a Caps game here and there during all of Lindros's career. Anyone agree or disagree?
Was I wrong to defend Lindros, my impression of him is that when he was healthy he was pretty awesome and his first three playoffs his stats seem pretty good.
i thought there was a trade freeze until after the final?
Its possible that the deal is done they are just waiting to sign the agreement, simmilar to Emery coming to the Flyers before July 1st he is basically already a Flyer he just doesn't have the contract signed yet.
