Kyle/Seachd appreciation thread

Kyle Brodziak, Moose Jaw, WHL 5-4-7-11-0
And thus began the Kyle watch, our lowly 7th rounder busted from the gate and left all of our other junior prospects eating dust.

Kyle Brodziak, 70 gp, 39-54-93 pts, +30, 58 pims

2004 WHL Playoffs, 4gp*, 4-2-6pts, +3, 2pims
* The 2nd period of the 4th game, Kyle has 2 goals so far tonight.

I can't wait to see what the kid does next season in the ahl, we really need a talented center to stay on track even if he's just projected to be a 2nd liner.

Thanks go to Seachd for alerting us to his progress early and for keeping his invaluable stats page going

I'm glad you like the stats thread, but don't make too big a deal out of it, 'cause I haven't updated it in a loooong time (mostly due to the fact that European playoffs had started and I was too lazy to put them all in). But I'll do so as soon as I get the chance.

The last big CHL steal the Oilers had in a draft was Lombardi, who we subsequently lost when his vastly improved stats (a) gave him much more leverage and (b) made him very noticeable.

My questions:
- How much do people figure it will cost to sign Brodziak?
- How much are the Oilers willing to pay?
- If he were to re-enter, where would he be picked? For example, would it be worth it to the Oilers to use the Philly pick on him?

Just curious...

he can't re-enter this year, it's a crapshoot for him because if he waits until 05 he might be severely capped anyways, and he still wouldn't go 1st round I doubt.

I'd imagine EDM will simply get him signed, because why not get him in the fold next season and playing in the AHL at 55K?

2004 WHL Playoffs, 4gp, 4-2-6pts, +4, 2pims and the Warriors are through to the next round.

I agree with Lowe that the opportunities for JDD and KBro here are too obvious, they'd be foolish to go to another org where they might set their careers back. Even moreso for Kyle because the depth on the wings here would make it very attractive for a center.
