Anyway, pass on Briere
huh? we made it to the ECF last time around. you make it sound like the flyers have made a trend of exiting in the first round...

Maybe not in Chi's stacked defensive corps, but here he would be.

It's stupid.

Why are the Blackhawks even bothering with Niittymaki?

And why are we bothering with a guy who has longer contract and bigger cap hit?

To Phi:

Brian Campbell
rights to Samuel Pahlsson

to Chi:

Daniel Briere
Rights to Antero Niittymaki
and we'll say a 4th rounder this or next season.

Swaps two major salaries for another, rights of two players, and Chi gets a pick. What do you think? (void the NMC or NTC of each player...this is purely just based on value and if it'd make sense for both teams.)
I don't think Philly would want Cambell. I don't see him as a flyer type. I don't see him as the type of guy who wins you championships.

They'd probably rather dump a guy like lupul for a decent defender. Lupul sucks anyways. And I don't hear a lot of people mention this but Simon Gagne and Briere have not been healthy enough to play together yet. That's gotta leave some flyer fans curious about what could be.

Khabi will be gone, a tandem of Niitty/Huet could be good, who knows.

Because we need another D-Man, and we don't get enough offense from our D-men.

Remember, this is a total "out of left field" trade since there are two monster contracts being traded to each other on two heavily cap-strapped teams.

If we trade Briere it is not to add an even larger contract.

So we trade our massive contract for an even bigger one?

That right there shows your ignorance. You do realize that the Flyers have played in 2 of the last 5 conf finals in the east right???? You do realize that both Carter and Richards were playing the entire series against the Pens with separated shoulders right. you do realize that if you talk to most Pens fans they will tell you that the Flyers played them tougher than either the Caps or Canes and that Fleury pretty much won them the series right???

My prediction for you, to keep puttin your foot in your mouth.
