Draft Order

Here's the way i see things going down.
Hedman#1
Tavares#2
Duchene#3
Kane#4
MSP/Schenn#5

Whether or not we keep the pick is a different story. If we do make a play for Vinny do u think we could include next years first rounder instead of this years. I think we absolutely must keep this pick, we r getting a pretty solid player.

JJ+Teubert+10 first rounder+Boyle= VL

June 26 cannot get here soon enough

It is possible....but I am sure that Tampa is well aware that the Kings pick next year will probably be in the latter part of the round if they have Lecavalier on the team. I cannot see them dealing Vinny with this year's pick being added.

What do you think DL would do if Hedman was taken 1st would he deal with Tampa for the 2nd pick and nab Tavares or Duschene.

Giving up the #5 should be a deal killer. Keep the pick.

I really can't see why the islanders would pass on tavares.

The top 5 will not remain as is, I forsee movement.

I could be wrong, but I'd wager on the top 5 shuffling somewhat, mostly Toronto trying to get in at #3 or possibly #4.

because their immediate needs are on the backend, and tavares still has skating and "teammate" issues. They take tavares to sell tickets and market around. They take Hedman to address their immediate needs. Neither is a better BPA option really. For Tavares issues, there's Hedman's lack of physicality. Whatever, that isn't really a concern anymore though. The rest of his game makes up for it.

This isn't to say JT won't be successful at the next level, he probably will be. He is probably not a true generational talent though, and Hedman's chances of success are on par, if not better.

Isles are taking Tavares....I have no doubt about it...

Kings should draft Kane...he is solid....Handzus is in his 30's, Armstrong is a UFA, and Boyle is unproven....what other depth at center do we have? Lewis, Cliche? Kane could be play behind Kopitar for years to come.
