For reference here is a link to the old Francois Giguere Record as GM thread with all moves made from time of hire, to his being let go by the organization, as well as the reaction to his firing thread.

Do we know that the firing of Granato and the entire staff was his move? I was of the impression that Lacroix made all those moves and hired Sherman in the same day.
Seconded. Not sure Sherman did the management/coaching shuffle. Judging by PL's "he's operating under my supervision" statement I think those moves came from him.
I have to agree. After listening to the press conference, this may be more like the structure the Denver Nuggets are using. Sherman may be the GM, but it's a collective (borg? ) when regarding decision making. You get the feeling listening to the presser that Sherman will be the contract/ finance guy and Billington will be the "hockey guy."

Thank God. I have quite a bit more faith in Billington from listening to him speak than most others. He seems like a really bright guy.

Agree. They should have named Billington the GM and the Shermanator as his assistant. It looks bass ackwards, but this is like any other front office in the league. Biller is actually the GM. And Pierre is God. And unfortunately Eric is Jesus.......
Question, who gets the bigger office? Biller or the Shermanator?

Offices? They get cubicles, Lacroix gets the big office with the nice view.

I really wouldn't record that as Sherman.
I agree, but I think PL is the one making the moves anyway. Technically the moves were announced on his watch as GM, and he was the one that announced them, so it seemed as though they should be added as his first moves.
Anyway, Sherman's moves or not, I like it, new coaching staff with great leadership, great draft, and the goalies situation was well handled with the cap that remained
Sorry to be a nitpicker but could someone please fix the typo on the thread title?
If you're referring to the "& Co", I originally just had Sherman's name, but then agreed with a few posters here that the title with his name alone, wasn't really representative of the situation, so I added the & Co. If you're referring to another typo, please point it out, because unfortunately I'm not seeing it, and I'm gonna feel a little stupid if there is one after I've read it over about ten times now.
At this point, my biggest complaint is Budaj being resigned. They don't trust him to start a game (for good reasons) but they gave him a raise and we can all see that Andy is in need of a day or two off.
