Low dollar number for a 70 point player with big time potential. Good for Boston. Boston had such a big year that it undoubtably helped a lot of those players numbers which may have came up during negotiations. This is actually quite in line with what 2nd contracts should be unlike say the Carter contract (which turned out fine but he definitely hadn't earned 5M up to that point).
Very good signing by the Bruins; great value, not too long.
Adding Krejci's cap hit (3.75) to Boston's money cap commitments for next year, it puts them at $51.29m with 15 players under contract (excluding the minor league players listed). It could be a tight fit, but the deal is too good to pass up imo.
Management - Player relations have completely changed over the past 3 years in Boston. This organization used to penny pinch the players... there would be hold-outs... bridges would be burned and Boston would lose talent over a few dollars.
