Is it easy/possible to get autographs from the visiting team around Staples?

For the SCF? Good luck

Opposing teams usually practice at Toyota Training Center in El Segundo, by LAX.

My friend works for the Kings and the NHL pretty much took over last SCF and they lock everything down

^ I saw video from yesterdays practice and it looks both teams were practicing at Staples. Not that it makes a difference. I doubt there will be much player access to public.

OK so on the Kings website under LA Kings watch parties, when you go to LA Live it clearly says that games won't be shown on the big screen outside of Staples Center, which was clearly not the case tonight. Was tonight just a one-off or are they now going to show them all? Also, how do you get tickets to watch them on the big screen if they are showing them all?

Any suggestions / endorsements for watching game 4 in or around the Santa Clarita area?

That sports bar that was on bar rescue? kidding of course.. I have no idea what is up there but basically most of the sports bars in the LA area have been featuring the games so it won't be hard to find the game. Good luck!

Hi guys, Edmontonian here

I'm going to be visiting Los Angeles in August along with my fiancé, and I was wondering if anyone has any cool recommendations as to what is fun besides the common knowledge (Universal Studios, Disneyland, etc). This is my first time visiting Los Angeles. Also, I'm a huge Lakers fan, where would be the best place to pick up Lakers gear/Sports Memorabilia in general? Thanks a lot, I really appreciate your help

Visit the first page or two of this thread - lots of good suggestions for where to go and what to do.
For Lakers stuff, you can visit the Team LA store or just about any mall in LA has some store selling sports-related stuff. Lakers stuff is not hard to find.

Downtown Santa Monica and the pier.

Also check out a Dodgers game, preferably at night. The view of downtown LA will give you goosebumps.

Manhattan Beach is beautiful, I would highly suggest checking that out for breakfast one day. Go to Uncle Bill's Pancake House or The Kettle. Then walk along the pier and check out the strand.

Santa Monica is full of tourists and bums. It's kinda trashy. So don't think all of our beaches look like that. Same with Venice Beach.

I feel like the bums add a je ne sais quoi to the whole Santa Monica atmosphere. Don't bother them and they don't bother you.

Also, why not try going to Downtown Long Beach? It's a pretty cool place with bars, restaurants, and other forms of nightlife. Not to mention that you can visit the aquarium and go walk along their pier next to the Queen Mary.

Whenever I bring people there for the first time they are shocked at the amount of bums. But unlike Hollywood, they aren't aggressive. With that said, it's fun if you can hit it during one of the farmer's markets. You also have to ride the ferris wheel at least once since it's pretty iconic.

Long Beach is great. Belmont Shore is fun, especially during the Stroll and Savor. You can buy a pack of tickets and redeem them for food from all the local restaurants who set up stands outside their establishments.

As a person who as born, raised, and still lives part-time in Hollywood, I know all about aggressive and terrifying bums. They're not as prevalent as they were say 20 years ago, but, yeah.

Especially if they're dressed up as super heroes. If you take a photo with them and don't tip, prepare your kidney, it's gonna meet a knife...

I love Long Beach. I've lived there for 7 years now and I consider it home. I think it is the best kept secret in So Cal. There are all kinds of different neighborhoods and there is so much to do.

As far as So Cal recommendations go, I'd like to add Catalina to the list of fun things to do. I went for the first time a few weeks ago and had a blast. Go hang out at the Descanso Beach Club and have some drinks on the beach. Then rent a snorkel and chase a bunch of fish around. I was surprised at how clear the water is there.
