McDonagh and Subban will break the lineup when Markov's and Hamrlik's contracts will end.

O'Byrne can be packaged if not we need to be patient in order to get dividends out of him.

Anyone can show some love for Belle? Could he fit in a 7th role...if ever Emelin stays put.

Yemelin needs to be signed first.

If i had to chose between paying Hamrlik another 2 years at 5.5 and re-signing Komi to a 5-5.5 mil extension, i think you know where my answer lies.

I know Komi didnt have a good year, but neither did Hamrlik. Komi is younger, more physical, blocks more shots, has more leadership. Hammer can move the puck up ice better, and at this point makes less mistakes than Komi is the defensive zone.

Just something to mull over. I doubt with the financial situation of some teams they would take on Hamrlik`s contract.
buyout...

I Fail @ Basic Arithmetic.
You're right. (About the calculation not the buyout)

Same here....he is a good vet and a warrior. Last year was just horrible for him and I personnally think he was hidding little injuries one of them being his leg. The damaged was done in a pre-season game and could get all of that strenght back in that leg.

Keep him

Just to show what people know or in this case don't.
He is not has bad has what some say he is. His salary was earned and brings more to the table then what some see. He step up his game in the playoffs but again, IMO injuries where still there.

The only way they trade Hammer is if they feel they have another player in the bag

We don't have a ton of good experienced D players. It might be a mistake unless we are getting a better D player in his place through UFA or other deals

After the season we just had, I say keep everyone and let their value rise again, unless a real opportunity to trade for a big time player is there. Our players are not half as bad as some make them seem to be around here.. Keep and let him have another strong season instead of trading him and crying over the fact that he bounced back with another team.
