Don't let fan proposals get in the way. Those don't have much impact on what really goes down.

Oh, I don't take those seriously. That's for sure. But it is fairly delicious banter for a long off-season.

I think if you want a cat as talented as Harding, you gotta pony up.

Toronto, Tampa, Atlanta are really ringing bells for a Harding trade

"There is a Heatley deal on the Table.... All I can say is a three way deal sending a goalie elsewhere with Wild getting Heatley"

I really hope this is true. I'd be ecstatic to get Heatley on this team. We need offense and how often are you going to find a 50 goal scorer on the market.

Im pretty sure harding wants to play more than the 10 or 15 games he played last season. and playing behind backstrom for the next 4 years is not going to help.

im pretty sure he is gone. via trade or offer sheet or free agency when the time comes.

and obviously teams are going to lowball because he is leaving no matter what! take what you can and let a potential starter play with a team thats going to give him a fair chance.

Eklund is not a reliable source so I would take anything you see from it as a complete grain of salt. Moreover, as I've stated before in the Heater threads on here...WE DO NOT HAVE THE CAP SPACE FOR HIM. We are sitting around $50M mark right now. Heatley's contract puts us over the limit and also takes away all wiggle room at the deadline, not to mention we still need to sign Koivu and Burns to contracts next season (along with Johnnson if we deem so). Do we really want to have close to $30M in just 4 guys? Oh and Heatley has a NTC and will only opt out if its a team of his choosing basically. And Minnesota is not one of those.
