Darn. I was really hoping Vancouver would go after him. Look for Thomas Pock to sign with someone soon too.

Nobody is really sure wether he is a free agent or if he needs to be drafted,
because he played one year in the USHL before joining the NCAA.

On topic, Danis is a great signing for Montreal. Shrewd move by BG.

Pock did not play in the USHL... if it was the USHL it would've been more clear cut. He played in Austria before the NCAA.

But after a few calls, Poeck will be a free agent.

Also, he won't sign until UMass is done in the playoffs.

Duh, my mistake. I was thinking of Sejna.

Should I assume that Danis could play in the 03-04 AHL playoffs when reading this ? Anyone knows if he can ?

Still doesn't answer my question. When his season is over can he come over and play for the hamilton bulldogs in the 03-04 AHL playoffs even if he wasn't listed on the clear day Hamilton Bulldogs AHL playoffs roster ?

It is my understanding that Danis can come and play the playoffs in the AHL, just like Hainsey did years ago.

However, it would make no sense if he just came over right now as his school year isn't over yet. The boy put in many years at Brown. It only makes sense that he finishes the semester, passes his exams. THEN he will turn pro for real.

Today's Gazette says he can play because he's on a tryout contract.
