Why on earth would Minnesota trade Koivu? Answer me that first.
Why on earth is this thread even open?

BOth fans and journalists should start a hockey version of the national enquirer.

You forgot one thing though :

Salary Cap

Mikko Koivu is awesome, which is why Minnesota won't trade him to us. They have no reason to, just like us trading Markov to Washington because he's Ovechkin's best buddy.

I see your point and I agree with you. If we are about to have a new system and can stick with is for a while, we don't need the superstar...we need stars though, and Mikko is one.

I think he's easier to put in a system than lecavalier, nothing against lecavalier, but mikko has been in a system in minny for a while now. He's a better two-way player as well IMO. Of course, when i say this, doesn't mean he'll come but just saying i'd take him over lecavalier and use the 4 mil difference on acquiring someone else instead!

It would be a great day in Montreal Canadiens history if Mikko Koivu came into Montreal, it would remind me a little of the rocket & Pocket rocket. Mikko has the heart of Saku with a lot more size!

So it´s a site where we can´t give our opinion?
Sorry but i thought we could?

We can't attrack RFA's so why don"t we trade for. It's less expensive than Lecavalier.

This is not opinion. You said that it will happen and to get Koivu it won't be less expensive than Lecavalier.

I'm not agreeing we'll get koivu or anything like that but how is Lecavalier cheaper?

I hear Crosby and Ovechkin are going to sign for a discount when they are UFA's, 3.5 million each. You can't prove me wrong.
