How much will Antropov get/How many years?

Will the Rangers resign him?

What would his cap hit likely be? (just an average)

What is the minimum amount of years he would want to sign for?

Just wondering about whether or not he'll actually hit free agency and if so, what would it take to get him. Does he have geographical or other special considerations?

Yup, pretty much this. I think it's reasonably fair for Antropov. He's what...28 ish, so that deal would hold through his prime years.

I would like to see Toronto bring him back personally. The rangers, I don't know how much cap room they have these days to sign a guy like Antropov at 4 mil per.

Antropov and Ponikarovsky are BFFs so if you're signing one you'll likely be able to sign the other much easier.

Probably the 3.5-4 million range. Very good support player but, at the end, just that. I'd pay him 4.5 million from the Caps if its a 1 year deal for the next season to center our 2nd line. Then trade tablescraps for Ponikarovsky.

Semin - Antropov - Ponikarovksy

Well, it's much better than anything else we'd have at the very least.

3.75 million to 4.75 million.

I would give him a 3 year, 12.50 mill deal.

I've read that his knees could be an issue, has that been a big concern in the last year or so or much ado about nothing.

antropov played wing for us. i think he is better suited to being a down low winger than a center as well. he isnt a power forward but he uses his size well to protect the puck.

I know but he can play center as well. His versatility adds to his value.

Right now we have no 2nd line center to speak of unless Nylander takes his head out of his ass, which is beyond unlikely.

If I remember correctly, Burke traded Antropov because of the amount of $$$ he was requesting.

That's a bad sign to me. I'm not sure I'd want to invest that much into him.

Antropov is a good signing, especially if you lack size at forward on the PP...quite a big dude.

and he has good hands...not clunky..

will NOT be a problem in the room...nice guy.

BTW Burke didn't trade him for $$ reasons...he traded him to get a 2nd round pick since Fletcher had traded some 2nds and 3rds.

also, Antropov's age didn't jibe with the rebuild...

an easy way to get a 2nd round pick at the deadline...

technically Burke could've maybe resigned him in the summer and kept that 2nd if he wanted....

same thing with Dominic Moore, Burke needed picks.
