I dont think anyone is saying that Heater is going to LA but simply that could be a destination since LA is in the market for a winger.

I got a link just now from ESPN. It didn't say LA but he wants to play in the Western Conference.

This trade I would do than Vinny or sign Gaborik. I hope he goes to LA.

We would be stupid not to. He is the left handed shot of our dreams.

I think its a 5 year left on a 6 year deal worth 45 million or so.

I'd say if there is truth to Heatley asking for a trade this morning, DL is on the phone the next minute. He's young, experienced, plays LW and is a proven goal/points scorer. He's signed for several years with a cap hit that is big but not killer.

That is ridiculous.

Dany asked for a change of scenery due to the fact that he was involved in a mjor accident that killed his friend. Talk about bad memories every time you step in the locker room and have to remember your friend who will never be in there again. Let alone the day to day guilt.

Now he is in an organization, that is not organized at all. Terrible record, revolving door in management.........If he wants out, then that is his choice and should only prove his desire to WIN.

Yeah Heatley isn't exactly a character guy. I also like that because he's a huge hitter/power forward in video games, people assume he plays like that in real life. He's not soft, but not exactly a banger either.

That said, who cares. Heatley friggin rules and is imo as good as any of Gaborik, Kovalchuk and Nash. I've always wanted to see Heatley in the Western Conference. Thank god no one else in our division can really afford him.

Ok then I'll wait until more news comes out on why he asked to be traded. I'd still rather have Vinny but Heatley could work.

Exactly. Heatley is exactly what we need. Can you imagine a Heatley/Kopitar/Williams top line???

Heatley is better than Vinny. He has 180 goals in the past 4 years and is only 28 years old. Whoever says they don't want him is insane.

EDIT: Also want to add that he not only had the 180 goals, but in total in 4 years has 362 points and is a +82 in that time.

What about a possible deal for Kessel? He seems like he might be on the block and the Kings have at least 3 young defenseman and a plethra of young forwards who should be at a minimum 2nd/3rd liners that Boston would probably be interested in. The only thing is, Kessel supposedly doesn't play defense(haven't been able to watch him that much besides playoffs), but I'm still assuming they would be interested in a player of Kessel's caliber.

Heatly also scored 4 goals in an All Star game.

I'd rather add another center before adding a winger, but you'd have to be nuts to not want Heatley.
