Obviously I want Bouwmeester that’s all I want.

and I do not care for Carle, Jones or Mike Knuble (replace Mike with Fedotenko or Cole like players). If Lupul does not want to play physical show him the door too.

Enough of this BS.

Haha, don't change it. I know she's not young, it's just an observation.

i like the new picture better. she actually looks grown up now, and totally pickupable (if i might coin my own term) like the alizee i'm used to seeing. video really is the only thing that does her justice.

i recall reading on HF that Homer and the Flyers' front office seem to think Backlund is a better player than Gustavsson. Can't for the life of me remember where, so take it for what it's worth (not a whole heck of a lot).

Because he's only interested in three teams...

- Toronto
- Colorado
- Dallas

Not only did they think Backlund was better, Holmgren said he never heard of Gustavsson, so I'd imagine we were never seriously in the mix.

Probably because the same hype machine that surrounded Fabian Brunnstrom is surrounding Gustavsson. He might be alright, but nothing to write home about.

I still hope they've looked into Heatley. A lot of teams don't want to pay the 4 mil bonus he's due July 1st, including the Sens. Trade Lupul and Carle for him. Pay bonus. Trade Heatley. Improve cap situation and roster for 4 mil cash money. Pipe dream. I know.

Heatley makes over 7 Million a year..how does that improve the cap situation? ANOTHER huge contract to a forward??

yeah remember the hype surrounding Jiri Dopita? he was the so called best player not in the NHL? The Flyers gave up a second round pick to acquire his rights.
How did that go again? oh right it didnt.

then they traded him to Edmonton for a 2003 3rd(Alexander Picard) and a 2004 5th(Chris Zarb)

Whatever, he had *four* goals in one game!

Briere moving?
Briere has a no-movement clause. But several sources at the Cup Final say the Flyers have been shopping him without interest. Phoenix, Los Angeles and Montreal, to be specific. Because of his no-movement clause, Briere has control over the situation unless the Flyers want to waive him to the minors to get his $6.5 million cap hit off the books. His contract runs another five years. The Flyers have to lose salary this summer if they want to sign a major free agent defenseman or trade for a top defenseman at the draft. The only other large salaries that might generate trade interest are Simon Gagne (no trade/$5.25 million) and either Joffrey Lupul ($4.25 million) or Scott Hartnell (no trade/$4.2 million)
...and some Briere quotes (subject: Biron/Emery)...
Quote:

And that’s tough news for center Danny Briere, his closest friend and ally.

“Definitely,” Briere told a team spokesman on Friday at Skate Zone. “He is a good friend of mine, but it is the business of hockey. You can’t really control that. It’s not that the organization wanted to get rid of Marty.

“With the situation that we are in, I think everybody expected something to happen. Obviously with salary cap era now, we needed to find a goalie somewhere. Some decisions have to be made.

“It is just a business decision. Like I stated earlier, with salary cap issues, decisions have to be made and this seems to be an obvious one. I think everybody will be sad to see Marty, if he goes. He is a great guy and we all wish him well wherever he is going to be playing next year.”

Briere said Emery will get a clean slate with his Flyer teammates. Anything that happened in Ottawa will remain in the past.

Interesting..on Briere.

Realistically, who would Danny boy grant us in return, from 3 of those teams.

LA, something around Stoll possibly? Maybe one of their young goalies?

Phoenix, They'd have to cut salary I imagine, so something along the lines of Jovo?

Montreal, not really sure? Halak? D'agostini?

NMC prevents waivers without Briere's consent. Crack reporting right there.

Not only that, but Briere signed an 8-year deal. Last time I checked 2 from 8 is not 5.

Shows how much research these guys do on their articles. Sheesh.

However, I'd take Quick from LA.
