Gameday: Wild @ Blackhawks - 2004-03-25

It's the second game of a back-to-back, so we lose. Last I read, Dupuis is expected to play, as is Walz.
Here's to Carolina and Florida going to OT.

No, no, no! Florida needs to win darn it. It worked yesterday, so 6-1 Wild.

Hmm. 8-2. 4 assists for Dupuis (he worked for 'em, too). I see how it is now. I completely misunderstood this back-to-back thing we had going on. Obviously the plan was to not win any of the second games all season long, so we would give the 'Hawks a false sense of security. Then *wham*, the trap is sprung! Worked like a charm, it did.

What a great game last night! 8 goals who ever saw that coming and look at this the last 3 games we have played the Hawks we have scored 19 goals! Dang I wish we could play them more often. Daigle with another great game last night, he played a great 2 way game last night. I would like to see JL put Daigle with Gabby on a more regular basis, but im not so sure that we can count on that.
Great Game Though!

Franchise record!! And who better to set it than Gaborik, off a great pass by Dupuis!! Awesome game last night! I know it wasn't against an elite team, but we're on their level anyway. Pretty much everybody had a great game, finally. And I agree.....I wish they would put Daigle on with Gaborik....seeing them put it together is a blast!!! But we'd have to put a defensive center out with them!!!

They've got one of those, and his name is Walz. Oddly enough, the man is a good playmaker too. I've been saying for a year that if you want to get the most out of Gaborik, you put him with Walz. Walz has the speed to keep up with him, and he's the best playmaking center on the team. That may change when Koivu comes over next year, but right now, Walz and Gaborik are a natural fit. And Daigle is a no-brainer for the other wing.

Yeah, that could be a possibilty. Over on Wild.com this was talked about a lot a few months ago....the other thing is that would be a pretty small line. None of them are physical players, they wouldn't be able to clear a way that way. I guess you'd have to rely on the speed and skill to get the scoring chances.
