How long before we see the "Mark Crawford fired as head coach" thread?

On the bright side, the Stars should be playing a far more exciting brand of hockey.

No it doesn't. If you had just waited, you could have Tippett right now.

Tippet had run his course here-He was slow to use young guys, he screwed up the backup goalie situation and (Stephan had value) and special teams sucked. That said, Crawford would have been way down my list of hires and I prefered someone who could provide some direction and had a strong system-

Stay thirsty my friends..

In all seriousness, Crawford is not as bad as you think. Stars make it into the playoffs next year, IF they can stay healthy.

On the bright side I won't be subjected to listening to Crawford's dumbass analysis any longer. Thank you Dallas Stars.

Well, with Phoenix moving to Southern Ontario, San Jose trading everybody off and now the Stars hiring Crow, I think LA's in good shape next year! :-)

Dave tippet was asking to be fired, keeping a team without its best forward/captain and best defenceman all season in the playoff picture until the last dozen games of the year until his other star player broke his arm for the 2nd time in a single saeson and the team had emotionally nothing left.

Not to mention his starting goalie failing horribly to start the year without any respectable back up to help shoulder the load, or the side show that was sean avery who was brought into a team full of people who had no respect for him or his style of play and divided the locker room.

Yeah, what a terrible job he did.

^ What he said.

Poor Dallas. They don't deserve this kind of crap.

HNIC fan saying it's a GREAT signing.

Requesting he take Mark Lee with him is probably asking to much isn't it?

Maybe the Wild can do Canadians a favor and hire Greg Millen.

Crawford is a good coach..I don't know why the attitude is so negative in here.

Good luck to him.

I know, eh? So many doomsayers already, and a few of them aren't even Stars fans!

I'm fine with this.

LOL Crawford has been nothing short of a terrible coach for the past 13 seasons.

Oh sure he won a cup with the best goalie in the league, best 2 centers at that time and an amazingly deep team. Anyone could have done that.

He will destroy the young Dallas players and he will fail in every way possible. I will be shocked if he lasts past Christmas.

Terrible move.

I swear I am going to punch the next person that says that.

Whatever will be do without Modano, Lehtinen, and Zubov. Well Modano's become a nagging floater for a majority of every season for the past few years, we haven't really had Zubov for a couple of seasons, and Lehtinen..well, he's been alright, but Eriksson has pretty much turned into him with more offense.

So if having to get a #1 D-man and fill the 3rd/4th lines is a mini rebuild, then I suppose you're right.

Good to see all of this optimism and 0% snap judgments.
