Of those on that list Doug Gimour, but I can think of many more nicknames that are better than the ones you have listed.

A few from the distant and not so distant past:

Georges Vezina: The Chicoutimi Cucumber

Bobby Hull: The Golden Jet

Elmer Vasko: Moose (long before Messier)

Maurice Richard: The Rocket

Henri Richard: The Pocket Rocket

Fred Taylor: Cyclone

Frank Nighbor: The Pembroke Peach

Edouard Lalonde: Newsy

Nels Stewart: Old Poison

Howie Morenz: The Stratford Streak

Bernie Geoffrion: Boom-Boom

Jean Beliveau: Le Gros Bill

Rick Middleton: Nifty

John McKenzie: Pie Face

Ken Linseman: The Rat (plus several that cannot be posted here)

Frank Mahovlich: The Big M

Eddie Shack: The Entertainer

Serge Savard: The Senator

Jacques Plante: Jake the Snake

Lorne Worsley: Gump, The Gumper

Frank Brimsek: Mr. Zero

Emile Francis: The Cat

Gary Smith: Suitcase (although some would say "Headcase" as he drove home from a Canucks game in full uni one time, including his skates.)

Stu Grimson: The Grim Reaper

Steve Thomas: Stumpy

Pat Verbeek: Little Ball of Hate

Yvon Cournoyer: The Roadrunner

Aubrey Victor Clapper: Dit

Francis Clancy: King

Lou Fontinato: Louie the Leaper

Hector Blake: Toe

Walter Broda: Turk

Fred Shero: Freddie the Fog

Alex Delvecchio: Fats

Leonard Kelly: Red

Mike Walton: Shakey

My all-time favourite however was Al "Scoop" Millar . He was the top goalie in the old Western Hockey league back in the mid 1960's with the Seattle Totems and then became Leafs property and played with the Victoria Maple Leafs. He should of been a regular NHL'er but he had a slight problem. It is not the nickname per se but the story behind the nickname is the interesting part. The official line was that he was called "Scoop" because he loved reading newspapers or had a great glove hand. Actually he was alleged to be a kleptomaniac and would steal anything not nailed down according to a player in the Leafs system who played with him.

I voted for Franzen out of the ones you listed. I like Mark "Moose" Messier, Henrik "Hank" Zetterberg, and Evgeni "Geno" Malkin better though. Guess I am partial to the more recent ones.

Was Adam Graves ever called "The grave digger"? If not, he should have been.
