The absolute last thing Dallas needs is another left shot, left wing. That said MSP is a steal there. If he's NHL ready, Dallas nabs him and deals James Neal to the Pittsburgh Penguins for Goligoski and Pitt's 2nd round selection.

Pitt gets a legit scoring winger for Crosby or Malkin, Dallas gets powerplay help and a dynamic winger.

I can't believe there's any way MSP falls to eight but wow, that would be amazing.

If he falls to eight Brian Burke deserves to be shot.

Well, you'll be more than welcome to join our fanbase if that ever happens.

I disagree.I think the isles will look to use one of their two 3rd rounders on a goalie.Snow's quoted in Newsday, saying someone expected to go middle of the 1st round, will slip down to the Isles in the early 2nd.I don't think any of the top goalies are projected to go in the 1st round.

Isles are looking to add size and skill. This writer has them taking Ferraro at #26 and passing up 6'4 Ashton.I think if both are on the board, the isles will take Ashton. Both are skilled, but Ashton adds badly needed size.

Well, here's the only thing I take out of these mock drafts from TSN, NHL.com, etc:

If there's as much difference after the top 5 among NHL GM's as there are in these mock-drafts, there's going to be opportunities for moves. That's not to say they will happen. After all, everyone may end up getting what they want where they are. But, for that reason, it's going to be extremely interesting to watch, especially between picks 12-30. That's when I expect there to be action.

Cheers,

Dan-o
