Seriously? Crosby.

Edit: The fact that Zetterberg was good defensively against Crosby doesn't mean he's better than Crosby, either.

Congratulations on not reading the post or understanding the poll at all.

Visit this website: http://www.starfall.com/

Maybe then, just maybe, you'll understand what I put in the original post because I specifically said don't base your opinion on who you want for the rest of their career/in the future.

exactly. i guess hal gill is better than jagr since he always shut him down. teams swarm crosby. zetterberg doesn't get that type of attention or shadowing.

I'd like to see Zetterberg shut Crosby down if he was flanked by someone like Franzen or Datsyuk. Not to mention Zetterberg is backed by friggin Lidstrom. When you are surrounded by 38 year old Guerin and Kunitz, it's hard to do it all yourself. If everything around them is equal, Crosby will beat Zetterberg most of time.

It's funny how Zetterberg was being abused in game four and needed Datysuk to come back and help him...

It's nice to have our delusions though, isn't it?

How about a real poll... if you ask 28 other GMs who they could pick... would they take Zetterberg or Crosby...

Something tells me Zetterberg wouldn't have one GM pick him over Crosby.

Right now it is clearly Z40 who practically shut out Crosby.

Didn't you know... Madden is better than Lemieux because he shut him down in the '01 playoffs.

That's why this is so insane. Usually its like 2-10% delusional people in other such obvious polls, but with Zetterberg it goes up to 25%. Zetterberg and Dustin Brown are weird phenomenons on these boards.

Because Zetterberg was brimming with points also.

Yep all by himself, it had nothing to do with Lidstom at all...

you could add that he did with lidstrom and rafalski. The whole damn line was focused on him and him alone. Zetterberg was so focused on him, that he didnt even play offence. NO player would have been able to escape that kind of coverage. If they were focusing on malkin, crosby would have scored the points and hence won the smythe. If malkin was better, why didnt they focus on malkin instead of crosby? I think that says a lot on who the better player is.

I take crosby anytime over zetterberg.

I like Zetterberg; he's my favourite Red Wing...better than that wimpy little Russian...

But even with his defensive capabilities, Crosby takes it for me.

Lidström and Rafalski didn't have anything to do with Crosby. They just tried to play their regular D.

Crosby. Zetterberg is a more well rounded player but Crosby is clearly better in certain aspects which make him the more valuable player to a team.

and their regular defense, atleast lidstroms, is unbelievable. i dont care how good crosby is, when he is being followed by zetterberg and rafalski and lidstrom are out there he isnt going to produce as well as he does against another team like the hurricanes

Zetterberg is a great shutdown player, combined with offense.

But i'll take the kid who produced 120 points when he was 19 year old, won the Art Ross and Hart and have 3/3 100 pt seasons (When healthy).

Crosby, 10 out of 10 times.

7 games is a much too small sample size to prove anything. Try again, homernick.

I'd love nothing more than have the Wings play in the Eastern Conference.

Head to head, and quite literally, 13 games in the last two Final series.

Sid - 3G 6A 9P -2
Z - 4G 8A 12P +4

The head to head matchup played a very large role in Zetterberg's Conn Smythe last year and was trending towards a similar result this year had the series ended differently.
