Remember to send in your rumors to Eklund. They can be true or completely false doesnt matter. So i'll be sitting at my desk waiting for these rumors to come in.

Eklund Update
I have been told the the Senators are talking to the Boston Bruins about a package deal involving either Lee or Karlsson going to Boston. My guess is that these are the young defenseman that Boston was asking for in return for Kessel. So look for Kessel to be on the move to Ottawa. So far thats all I got.

Eklund Update
New development in the never ending guessing game that is Who Are The Islanders going to take? I've been told from numerous sources that the front office of the organization is torn in all different directions. I've also heard that the owner of the Islanders wants John Tavares as a bargaining chip for a new stadium on Long Island. The newly appointed President of the organization is favoring Victor Hedman and is looking to address offensive needs through trades, Free Agency, and later in the 1st round. Last, Garth Snow is open to dealing the pick if he feels it will help out the organization. The asking price to start is said to be around 2 "above-average" roster players, 2 higher end prospects, and a 1st. But who knows if the Isles will get this or if they will lower their asking price as they have been known to make foolish moves in their history. Check back later for a update

The Florida Panthers will listen to offers for everyone outside of David Booth. We want to become a bigger team who is hard to play against. We are looking for a puck mover but we will not move our first round pick to get it

BOLTS ACQUIRE TWO-WAY FORWARD BROUWER

Troy Brouwer

Jeff Halpern

Brouwer is a excellent two-way forward who has plenty of potenital, as much as we like Halpern, we felt he needed to move on to a playoff team so people can notice his amazing penalty kill.

We wish best of luck to Jeff, and hope he makes it far with the Hawks.

Eklund Update

Big news coming out of the Heatley camp. Teams such as the Calgary Flames, Minnesota Wild, and Vancouver Canucks have made substantial offers and I currently believe they are in the lead. It has yet to be determined of Dany would waive his NTC to go to any of the above teams but the Sens are definitely talking to them. Could it be possible for Luongo be moved? Not likely. On another note, I have heard that Dany is currently on vacation and most likely does not want to be bothered with hockey for the time being. For this reason a trade is not imminent.

Mini-trade between Boston and Minny just went down:

Boston gets: Rights to Petr Kalus
Minnesota gets: Conditional 4th round pick

Kalus was comfortable in Boston and played his role very well. Being back in the system with the players he came up with (Krejci) will do him a lot of good, if he decides to come back.

Confirmed.

Also, Minnesota has resigned upcoming UFAs Stephane Veilleux and Kurtis Foster. Terms are not yet disclosed as per team policy.

Eklund Update
The Tampa Bay Lightning have reached a deal with the Chicago Blackhawks. I am told that it involved Troy Brouwer. Expect the deal to be announced shortly.

Hawks confirm this trade.

Brouwer is a good young RW but he didn't fit in our long term plans. Halpern fills Hawks need for 3rd line C. His leadership and 2 way play are very good qualities.

This mean we will no longer pursue resigning UFA Sami Pahlsson. He is a very good C but his lack of offensive skills hurt Hawks.

Remember to PM me your draft list if you will not be here when the draft is held! No picks will be changed after they have been made and there will be no complaining.

I have 1 list so far.

Eklund Update
What The Hell? The Rangers have apparently found a taker for Wade Redden. I can't believe that a team would take on that contract so I have my doubts if this is a true rumor but i've never had a problem putting up faux rumors up here before.

In regards to RFAs, I will get to them as soon as possible. They take awhile to do QO, I'm doing them in the order I receive them. Patience is appreciated.

Bruins sign RFA's.... All except one:

Byron Bitz- 3 years, 850K per year
Kevin Regan- 1 year 808K (2-way)
Wacey Rabbit- 2 years, 600K per year (2-way)

And I'm very excited to announce that we've come to terms with Swedish winger/center, Carl Soderberg. We expect him to start the season in Providence, unless drastic moves are made.
3 years, 3M (2-way)

Eklund Update
Ryan Malone has been dealt to a division rival. I haven't heard anything from the other party but my guess is that the trade partner is one of, the Panthers, Capitals, Hurricanes, or the Thrashers. Could Malone be involved in a deal for David Booth as they asked for a player with some grit? Personally I think this would be a bad move for the Panthers if my hunch is true.
