Star-Trib article makes it sound like he's done for sure while the PP is a little more optimistic. Assuming he's out, who's a good candidate for the call-up? Heid? Reitz? Heid sounds more like a Kuba-style guy.. very responsible, but Reitz might be a little more fun to watch... ?
Oh, also on Kuba, there was this the other day in the PP:
'Kuba plays with pain: Defenseman Filip Kuba and Andrew Brunette are the only players who have played in all 76 games this season. Kuba has managed this despite playing the entire season with a bulging disk in his lower back, a detail he revealed Wednesday.
"I had a cortisone injection before the season, and I'll probably have another one after," he said. "I don't feel it at all on the ice. It bothers me when I'm working out off the ice."'
Despite what he says about not feeling it on the ice I wonder if this has had something to do with his poorer showing this season. Maybe I'm looking for something that isn't there, but he's seemed less sure of himself with the puck this year, IMO.
