HFBoards TOP 100 ranking: Forwards #6

Now that the season and playoffs are over, I thought we'd do an "HFBoards ranking" for each position.

So basically, who (of the following) is the best forward in the NHL? ie. which forward would you want on your team for next year only?

Vote away.

Ranking so far

1. Ovechkin
2. Malkin
3. Crosby
4. Datsyuk
5. Kovalchuk

Iginla again. Much more complete player than Kovalchuk. Are we telling you who to add next? If so, I guess add St. Louis.

I'll go with Getzlaf, he's probably the most dominant player left even if he doesn't put up the numbers of some other players.

Im really losing faith on HF here if Iginla doesnt win this.. He should already be 4-5 but no, he is losing 6th spot to Getzlaf

its got to be Zetterberg than Getzlaf. Even with strong numbers last year, I don't see Iginla dominate the way he used to and though he'll be number #8 for me, I fully expect him to not be a top 10 forward next year (still 10-20). Has nothing to do with me being a Canuck fan for I have had a long time respect for the guy.

why shouldn't kovalchuk beat iginla

they're pretty much the exact same player except iginla hasn't been falsely tagged as selfish and horrible defensively

I don't know why people think it's such a tragedy if Iggy isn't winning this. Personally I would take both Zetterberg and Getzlaf before Iggy going into next season. And you can make a good, rational argument for both, it's not some fanboyism or anything. In fact, I really don't like Getzlaf at all, but he's a great player.
