Heatley - LA- St Louis - SJ - Edm - Pitts

Sensbuzz newest blog

----------------------------------------------
Say It Loud, Say It Clear
News broke out 3 days ago that Heatley gave Bryan Murray a list of preferred destinations in his next journey who Murray has spoken to. I have confirmation from a source that there are 7 teams on that list and they are...

SAN JOSE SHARKS
LOS ANGELES KINGS
ANAHEIM DUCKS
CALGARY FLAMES
VANCOUVER CANUCKS
PITTSBURGH PENGUINS
DALLAS STARS

There you have it folks. All three teams from California are on the list(GASP!), his hometown is on it(DOUBLE GASP!), a team close to his hometown(GASP, AGAIN!), a team buried in the riches of Texas(HOLY SHISHKIBOB!), and the defending Cup Champions who include 2 of the 3 best players in the NHL(GA...UGH, GETTING HARD TO BREATHE HERE!). I think Heatley is becoming a fair rich Hamlet(BURN REX MURPHY!) who wants to learn the secrets of a true ninja somewhere else.

I can tell you that 6 of those 7 teams have made calls about the Heater. When you examine the situation, it's a 50% chance that a California Team will get him. But there are really 5 frontrunners for his services. They are...

LOS ANGELES KINGS- OFFERING JACK JOHNSON, ALEX FROLOV, 5TH OVERALL PICK IN THE 2009 DRAFT, 96TH OVERALL PICK IN THE 2009 DRAFT(PICARD INCLUDED)

ST.LOUIS BLUES- OFFERING PATRIK BERGLUND, BARRET JACKMAN, AARON PALUSHAJ

SAN JOSE SHARKS- OFFERING MILAN MICHALEK, MARC-EDOUARD VLASIC, RILEY ARMSTRONG

EDMONTON OILERS- OFFERING DUSTIN PENNER, TOM GILBERT, RILEY NASH, 10TH OVERALL PICK IN THE 2009 DRAFT(SMITH INCLUDED)

PITTSBURGH PENGUINS- OFFERING CHRIS KUNITZ, MAX TALBOT, ALEX GRANT, 30TH OVERALL PICK(KELLY INCLUDED)

With these trades, the lineup would like like...
---------------------------------------------------------

Atleast it gives something for you guys something to flame, believe it or not :p

Don't even consider the Pens offer.

Kings if far and wide the best offer. It's so good, it's freakin' overpayment.

Source?

Also, the Oilers weren't on his list, but he's told Rishaug face-to-face he would accept a trade to Edmonton?

If those were my choices I would take the LA trade. Two young players that can play and the 5th overal.

Is this guy at all legit? I think the kings are over paying if the names/picks he included are true.

From any other team, yes, but we have so many damn picks and prospects, there's just no way(monetarily down the road, mainly) we can't keep them all.

LAK would never offer up that much. No criticism though, its impossible to gauge how much it would cost to get Heatley

What do you mean the oilers were not on this list? Did you read the list? Can you read the list? I see the Oilers on this list offering Penner, Gilbert, Nash and 10th over all

I think the only way Murray would consider a trade from Shero (and I don't think Shero would do this - I know I wouldn't).

Kunitz (3.725M) + Staal (4M) + pick (1st or 2nd) for Heatley 7.5M

I wouldn't trade Kunitz & Staal for Heatley though.

I know it's Heatley, but Talbot is one of those guys that is worth more to Pittsbrugh than any other team. I can't see them dealing Talbot in this situation. He has a great contract too.

i wouldn't trade heatley for kunitz & staal. you can keep your cup champs. i don't want to lose salary cap space in a trade.

How is one year of Frolov , the 96th pick , Jack Johnson who has not proved anything in this league yet an overpayment ? IMO , the 5th pick is the only thing of real value in that proposal ,without that pick is pretty clear that Heatley won't move to LA. If Frolov comes in with an extension then maybe we can discuss without adding their first round pick in the deal
I'm thinking the San Jose deal makes us better now so I would take that deal if I'm Murray . But anyway, I don't put my faith in a blog ..

Why on earth would the Sens do that deal with the Oilers? It's a terrible trade for both teams (too many assets going from the Oilers, and too much salary going to the Sens.) A giant no from both teams.

I wouldn't mind this, but I wouldn't think the Penguins do it. I think they keep their roster very similar.

Pretty sure I don't see Edmonton mentioned on the list I was talking about.

That is pretty much what the Sharks fans were expecting as an offer, and tbh sounds very fair.

Milan is our best trade bait
Vlasic is a promising defensemen, it was him or Ehrhoff
Riley Armstrong is a surprise. He hasn't faired too well in his brief time in the bigs, but he hasn't had much of a shot either.

I'd consider it if I was the Sens, it seems undervalued maybe but Milan is a solid, fast, 20+ consistent goal scorer with a great attitude. Vlasic is a potential All-Star defensive defensemen with serious offensive upside as seen this last season.

That aside, with Heatley's attitude issues, I don't think the Shark's should pursue him.
