Typical pathetic Flyer response. Curious, why didn't you post this when he still was with Philadelphia? And FYI, Therien has played decent enough, especially with so many injuries, he's a handy and usefull addition. Sure he's slow, and isn't nearly as physical as his size should make you think, but at the same time not nearly as bad as Flyer fans advertised.

I agree he has not been that bad. But I can attest that even when he was a FLyer, many of the posters here on the Philly board despised him. Teezax is just being consistent

I know he got trashed alot, but never to the extend it is today, the day he no longer is a Flyer. I find it pathetic and ironic that you trash someone (even more) when he's leaving your respective team.

oh please, we've been trashing him for years, just ask any other Flyers poster on these boards and they all concur that he was useless. We had him 10 years bud, you are more then certain going to have the same opinion if he lasts that long in DaLLAS. Stop being such a homer all the time and acknowledge for once that someone off your roster sucks.

If the pylon is Wade Belak, then I'll take Therien.

For what it's worth guys, the Pylon was ranked lower in Traffic Cones 2004 ( EA Sports). He received a 75 rating, while other pylons such as Wade Belak (80), Peter Popovic (85) and Chris Therien (98) were rated much higher on the pylon scale.

Frankly, there's no debating it. Therien is a much at being a pylon than the pylon itself.

Hmmm, there's so much more you could do with a pylon. You could use it as makeshift road course in a parking lot. You can use it to block off a parking space. You can use it to warn people that you just mopped the floor. I guess Therien could do all those too, but at 2.6 million, that's way too much pay for such low skilled labor. Plus, he would probably get bored and walk off. And we can't have people slipping on floors because Therien gets preoccupied with shiny objects in the produce section.

If Sather has a setback to his 2002/03 self next year, I think he signs The Pylon to a 2 yr/3.6 Million dollar deal. The Pylon is paired with Poti and Tom picks up a few valuable pointers on how not to be a defensive liability in your own zone.
