Heatley is a very stationary sniper with a great shot.

Players like him are nothing without a good playmaker to get them the puck, so I'd have to say Spezza helps Heatley.

True but Spezza is primary a playmaker so having a guy that can bury the puck helps him to.I would have to say they both help each other with their style.
Also claiming that Heatley is nothing without a good playmaker is way off track. He can hold his own.

Both makes eachother better...

A scorer needs a passer and passer needs a scorer to get points.

However, I voted for option 2 as I think Spezza helps Heatley more than vice versa.

Spezza makes him look better, but Alfie is easily the best of the 3.

Heatley makes Spezza better. Heatley is such a great sniper that he allows Spezza to play that ubber soft game on the perimeter while still getting points by setting up someone who can score with one shot.

When you throw a sniper and a playmaker on the same line and they find chemistry: The answer can only ever be both.

How is "both" not an option?
