ROSTER THREAD: http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=652495

KEEP THIS THREAD CLEAN! ONLY PICKS WILL GO IN HERE...If you are interested in a team and IF THERE ARE DRAFT MISTAKES PM HankPank

TO GENERAL MANAGERS: Please wait for the team before you to make a pick. However, we ask the GMs not to take too much time in deciding. Hence, why its better to have a list. The first round should be easiest part in selection. Second and third round may get difficult.

TIP 1: Before selecting, go to Edit---> Find---> Type in your player to see if he is not chosen by previous GMs

TIP 2: Review your trades in the rumor/trade threads. The commissioner can only do so much. This goes for me too, see if all your picks are correct and see if you are missing one or not.

TIP 3: Keep you PM box handy in a separate window, never know when you get a trade proposal for a pick or two.

TIP 4: It would be helpful to notify the GM after you that its his turn to make a pick after you make yours.

I don't think I can handle 2 teams so Columbus is available. I will just manage Edmonton.

Bob McKenzie: We are just 19 hours and 10 minutes away before the New York Islanders announce their first overall pick. Islanders, Senators and the Canucks will be the first three teams to announce their players. Tampa Bay will take a step forward in the rebuild by having the most first round picks in the draft. This is an exciting time, all three: Jonathan Tavares, Victor Hedman and Matt Duchene are here in Montreal.

NOTE: ALL GMs BE READY! IT IS A FLASH DRAFT, so make your PICKS ONE AFTER ANOTHER! This is the fun part, seeing what your fellow GMs are picking. Try limiting your comments after someone picks. Have fun and wish you all well at 7:30 PM EST!

First, we would like to thank Montreal for their hospitality and we congratulate the Penguins on winning the cap. We would like to thank all those who supported us, including the owners, the fan, the scouts, and the whole organization.

With the first overall pick, the New York Islanders select...Jonathan Tavares.

June 19, 2009: Ottawa's GM: :We are making this clear now, we want Victor Hedman. We will be looking to trade Spezza for a top 5 pick and get into contact with the top 5 teams. Will we get this done, we don't know. If the deal is fair for us, we will pursue it.
June 21, 2009- Ottawa trades Jason Spezza and acquires the 9th overall pick
June 21, 2009- Ottawa talked to PHX to move up to 6th spot, but talks were unsuccessful
June 21, 2009- Ottawa traded 9th overall+prospects+Bieska for the 2nd overall pick

June 25, 2009- In Montreal, the Senators are proud to select from the Modo Hockey, Victor Hedman.

Point of order: How did NY Islanders pick up #18 from Montreal? I don't think that I traded that one.
