I expect Bergeron to raise his level yet again...he has a knack for making people believe in him BTW-SWEEEEET gimme goal by the refs on the Penalty Shot huh? What a crock of Bull**** I dont think that should've even been a fricken penalty let alone a Penalty Shot.

Great shift by the big line.

I just hope that it's not going to be another one of THOSE nights.

Wow Raycroft makes the save and bats the rebound of his own post, but then makes the save on the wrap around after the puck ended up behind the net, close one

Raycroft makes the save off the slapshot and dives across to stop the rebound, very nice

The Bruins played better than the Habs that period. If it wasn't for that penalty shot it would still be 0-0.

The Bruins have to carry this intensity into the 2nd and 3rd periods.

It wasn't even a penalty, nevermind a penalty shot...

Not a bad first period. However.. what we need to do:

1. Get into the slot. The best chance we had was when Slegr beat Theo and hit the post. We need more opportunities like that from the slot.

2. Continue pounding the Habs' D.

3. Beat Julien at this game of chess and capitalize on instances when Koivu and Ribeiro are out there by getting Joe & company on the ice.

4. Keep skating in the offensive zone. I'm not talking cycling the puck, but actually making the Habs dizzy in their own zone. Their forwards aren't great in their own zone. If we can confuse the man-to-man coverage we will get more scoring chances. Keep skating everywhere... in our own zone as well. The forecheck has been decent also.

5. We've got to help Rayzor out. We've done a decent job at preventing shots and we need to continue stopping scoring chances before they happen.

6. Finally: Stay out of the box. That penalty shot was the result of a bogus call. There was a HINT of a hook but so much worse has gone un-called. We're bigger and stronger - let's continue hitting to intimidate the Habs... we don't need to take penalties.

I would add...
7. Don't start the Thornton line. Give another line the opening faceoff.

BTW, great opportunity for us tonight seeing how Philly lost to the Rangers. Esche was pulled after allowing 3 goals on 12 shots...

I'm watching the game on the SRC french station, and the commentator said that for the 700lbs line, when Thornton is cut from the play, Murray and Knuble are ineffective, which I saw a bit of in the first. I think swaping Samsonov with Knuble would be a good idea.
