No way Hudler is worth a first. Not yet, anyway. High-mid second, at best.

And you know someone will send an offer sheet?

Happy Hudler is gold on the 3rd and 4th lines, but throw him on the top two lines, no matter who he plays with, and he becomes a David Blaine disappearing act. In my opinion not worth a 1st, not even close, but as a Red Wing fan I'll take it!

IMHO Hudler is not worth a 1st rounder alone.

I think the original proposal was very fair value-wise.

Yeah, just what the Rangers need. Another center. Not to mention a small one. I wonder if many of our own fans even watch the games or understand what is in the farm system.

There's a shock. Do a move that doesn't make us any better. Guess people still haven't figured out that once players leave Detroit, they aren't nearly as good.

Right. Because hes spent so much time in a 2nd line role. Oh wait. I guess 1.5 days of playing with Zetterberg qualifies as "his chance".

And yes, Hudler is definitely worth a 1st rounder.

It saddens me to see Hudler more than likely leaving the wings but I still love Happy. I'm excited to see which team he goes to, I would love to see him get 1st line minutes next year on a less talented team than Detroit. I think he can put 70 up next year, especially if he has a lot of time with the PP's first unit; he has such great passing skills on the pp.
