Here's to hoping we keep the assistant responsible for the pp, we get a goalie coach suited to price's style

Great News - Hope the players Buy-In!

How often do we see new head coaches come in and keep the assistant coaching staff on board? I don't really pay that much attention to things like this with other teams.

Close, I'm 7.

Gainey is good, but I mean full time coach, like one at the start of the year and doesn't suck and still has his job come the end of it.

Me being 5 was in 93.

I wouldn't mind Kovy back, contrarily to you, but I had the same thought when reading the article. Kovy and Martin don't seem to match AT ALL.

Pearn is also rumoured to be the leading candidate to take over as GM of the Lethbridge Hurricanes. We should know by the 29th.

This is great news because there were way too many players on the team that liked to party and go out every night and it obviously effected their work ethic at practice and in games and it was a constant distraction for the rest of the players who showed up to practice and worked their butts off every game.

We need to play as a team first. We can't have 5 or 6 guys partying every night and causing problems in the dressing room and the rest of the team trying to play good hockey and win games.

Hopefully Martin will instill good work ethics to the players and hopefully the players will respect that and co-operate. If that happens....we will have a great season and be back at the top of the Eastern Conference where we belong.

Carbo wasn't an awful coach....he seemed to have a decent system that worked in 07-08, but when you don't communicate with your players and treat them with respect, the players will turn on you and stop playing for you....thats what happened last year.

It doesn't matter tho....thats in the past....we have a REAL coach now who is going to whip the boys into shape and make them play good hockey.
