I wouldn't.. we have plenty of candidates to fix our center position and we don't address it?

And I'm still convinced that Louis Leblanc is their #1 guy.
1st round: Fischer and Mcdonagh
Other rounds: Kishel, Kristo, Stejskal, Conboy, Wyman

I know we definitely need a C more than a D, but Rundblad is going to be a fantastic d-man.

I somewhat agree with you but I would still be pretty damn happy if we picked Rundblad. He has the tools to become a #1 defenseman (ala Gonchar, Markov or Green) and if we lose Markov, Komisarek and Hamrlik in the next 5 years, someone is going to have to replace them.

We have McDonagh, Fischer, Subban, Weber, Carle, Emelin, Valentenko etc. etc. to replace them.

Who do we have to replace Plekanec, Koivu and Lang? Maxwell, White and Chipchura. Only one of them has top two line potential.

Yeah i mean i get it, draft BPA, but at some point you have to take a step back and go, "wow, we've drafted a lot of d-men lately. Maybe we should draft the best forward available this year?" Unless of course they're planning on using the d-men they've drafted in a trade, i think they will draft a forward this year. Honestly though, is Lecavalier really worth it? Markov? And if not Markov, a bunch of our best prospects? And How about Lecavalier's contract? Do we really want to deal with that when the salary cap goes down in 2010 or 2011? I think Lecavalier is a financially bad idea, and hopefully Gainey finds a better solution. Marleau maybe? I heard his name being tossed around by Darren Dreger on the team 990. Personally, I'd like to get Kovalchuk. To me this guy is just money. Rarely injured, consistent 40 goal guy, physical, and going into be re-signed when the cap is on a down-swing instead of the other way around. If you're going to throw the farm at somebody, it should be him.

It's always positive when your head scout is quoted as saying ''I think we're going to get a future NHL player''.

As opposed to the scout who says,"I think we'll pick a future AHL player"?

Ideally, I'd like Timmins to select someone like Rundblad if he's BPA rather than a high risk, high reward forward like Kreider, for example. I suspect some of the prospects on defense such as Carle, Fischer or perhaps even McDonagh might be used as a trade bait to address the team's need at centre. There might not be much left if this happens.

Theres also a guy who wrote on Fanatique.ca

He got both McDonaugh and Pacioretty for the Habs and he beat analyst from TSN, ESPN, RDS on the first round predictions. He's also on HF, I dont remeber the user name, but he's pretty accurate. He's wrintin in french tho...

For people reading Fanatique, He's the one, who wrote the TOP 70 players analysis from this year's draft recently, still on main page I think. Go take a look, an good read IMO.

Nice to see they are setting the sights high, I am sure there is room for another 3rd liner.

How about a gamebreaker for ONCE?

Yes, Timmins is going to be stupid enough to predict us getting a game breaker at 18th overall. You guys would do the same with that as you did with Higgins saying he believes he could be a 40-40 guy.
